No he is the Messenger. More than just a prophet. Christians know that Jesus differs in views to his apparently "crueller" "father". Mohammad is the literal mouthpiece through which the divine speaks to the world.
With any religious book someone could read it and twist the words (I.e the K.K.K). But when a group of people are claiming they’re doing something for their religion but are breaking the basic pillars of that religion, then they clearly are. It’s exactly the same situation; if threw on a Rosemary and a golden cross, went on a murder rampage to “cleanse” the earth because i associate with being Christian. Would you say I’m Christian ? No I wouldn’t because I’m breaking the 10 commandments.
They may pray to one god. But the messenger, source of wisdom, and effectively top source / most credible and accurate prophet to the point of having a status like the demigod which is Jesus. Nobody is playing down the Prophet. He's prophet on steroids. Prophey sr.
Oh didn't know the caliphates broke the pillars of Islam when they took over all of the Arabian Peninsula. And then when they moved over to Asia and started conquering land there.
Muslims do see Jesus as a phophet. But his status is incomparable, in Islam, to Mohammad. Again. There are the Prophets, then there is the mouthpiece.
He gave on the messages from God. But they do not pray to him. They only pray to God. Mohammed is the top prophet just like how Jesus is the top prophet in Christianity. Difference is Christians pray to Jesus because he is apart of God. Muslims do not pray to Mohammed because He was just a human. God is the all and mighty entity that deals rules the world.
Ofc Jesus is still prophet but that’s what I’m saying. In Islam all the prophets are in this bubble below God. Whereas in Christianity, Jesus who is a prophet is up there with God, which is why Christians pray to Jesus.
When the number 1 source of a god's knowledge (his mouthpiece on earth) is some guy who thinks killing people in the name of Islam is chill, what do you expect an interpretation to be? He was just silly and excited about his new religion which he basically copied off the other ones and called his own.
See the issue here is In Islam it states you must read the Quran in full, there is no mini pick up version. Which is an issue because a lot of extremists and people against Islam cherry pick. Like any religious book you can cherry pick and find something to twist for it condemn killing etc.
Jesus is a preferable role model. Always turning the cheek, sacrificing himself peacefully for everyone on earth. Yes people didn't follow that. Jesus is Christianity's primary saint, a role model for all to follow. They failed terribly at keeping in his image for ages. I'm not one to defend Christianity. It's expansionistic. This pride of their own religion of "this thing is the best, everyone should know about it and believe it" business is what I mainly blame for the violence. You may think it is extrinsic to the religion itself. But I think it's related. I think it still sort of happens, but because Christians gained a monopoly of the world, they're sitting pretty and not worrying too much about the wellbeing of it, so it reformed and became more progressive. Islamists somehow still act as the victims of the world, ISIS are acting doggishly to reinstate their own version of the religion. Like in Ireland where there are the Protestants and Catholics that were at war with eachother, they're also worried about which sect/interpetation of their religion should win out overall. Imagine some purist crusaders coming out of the works, that would be like ISIS. Do I think they're Christians? Yes. Do I think their actions are stated and beckoned for within the religious texts themselves? They surely do. Would I say all Christians are like them? No. Would I wonder about the cause of the problem and how to solve it? Yes. Would I blame any aspect of the religion for it? Yes. I would blame whatever dumb ass passages of text they are getting away with misinterpreting. If you need the whole kit of lego to be allowed to build lego, what are the designers doing? Why are there sharp bits that they are stabbing people with? I don't need to insert it into something else. Just keep it sheathed in the kit and blowtorch the pieces together so I can't stab my sister. I don't need to fill the swastika with extra pieces of lego to make it look like a square. Just don't include it. It's simple.
it's to kill the enemies bruh, they were in a war. What's wrong with killing the enemis? and yeaah copied a bible? i have heard that a lot because some of the teaching are similar with bible, even the prophets, but don't you think maybe because they got the teaching from the same God?
Well that’s the thing with religion is a very big commitment. Can’t just wake up and be like I’m Jewish today. You gotta study the holy book, learn the practices. Maybe even a language as the Quran is in Arabic (There are English versions but i wouldn’t 100% trust it) So I can understand why in Islam if you want to fully commit and say be a proper believer of the religion. You gotta read the book in full. It’s like say Harry Potter is you’re a true fan you will read all the books, you wouldn’t just watch the films and claim you know the whole story.
The texts were written by men. C copied A. If G-d is almighty, infinitely powerful and wise, and the definition of perfection. Why the hell would he need 3 editions of a book to supposedly then write the true one? And how can we be sure that the third is the final? Sounds dumb to me. 'Third time lucky' isn't a real thing.
Except you don't in Islam. You can convert in a matter of hours. Back in the day, people were converted by the sword. In Judaism you actually need to study for ages, take a test, be considered to be a beneficial member to your community, and only then can you convert. (It's assumed parents teach their children.) You're right. You actually cannot decide overnight, it takes like 2 years on average.
