Question: You have been given the task of transporting 3,000 apples 1,000 miles from Appleland to Bananaville. Your truck can carry 1,000 apples at a time. Every time you travel a mile towards Bananaville you must pay a tax of 1 apple but you pay nothing when going in the other direction (towards Appleland).

What is highest number of apples you can get to Bananaville?

  15. 3 trips of 1000 apples for 500miles
Will leave you with 1500. Left
Two trips of 250 miles with a load of 1000 and 500
    Leaves 1000 left.
And the last 250 miles with 1000

    Makes 750 at bananaville

While i can fuss with the numbers to get the most im not gonna do it

  16. Well it's wrong so I just wondered ?

  17. 833 in the end would mean the last move they made was 167 miles.
Assuming they did the last stretch with 1000 apples

  18. Oh if its worng never mind
