"Doing what?" he replies. "All of this... Saving me, carrying me... You said yourself what I did was stupid why didn't you leave me to deal with my actions?" I'm curious, he seemed so mad before, yet he was still here, still helping. "If I wouldn't have... You would be dead." he states mater-of-factly. "Don't you realize that?" I nod, knowing he cant see it and then fall silent. The walk isn't far, but the strange looks we get never seem to end. Finally he stops in front of an expansive-looking penthouse apartment building. The doorman looks skeptical but greats us and hold the door open wide. Once inside, Dan sets me down and I'm able to take baby steps with his assistance. I look around in shock at the lobby. Everything sparkled with gold and there was a beautiful fountain places in the middle of the room. The most amazing thing by far though was the massive chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It alone was probably about the size of my entire office and it lit the entire lobby all by itself. I'm instantly self conscious of my soaking wet clothes as I slowly make my way to the elevator, holding Dan's hand for balance.
