Opening my eyes, I cringed a bit; I wasn't used to the atmosphere change. I was in my room, but it looked like heaven, no matter how bleak the colors were. Looking down at my wrists, I saw the marks the restraints left behind. I couldn't remember when I left that place. I couldn't remember HOW I left. It was like I was teleported to my room. Sitting up, an electrified flash of pain shot through me, shocking me enough to scream. For a second, I saw Dr. Hathoway. And that damned smug expression of hers. The moment I blinked, though, she was gone. A vision. More like a hallucination. I was already crazy, but Solitary Confinement made it worse. I held back tears, pacing the room. I never hallucinated before. It was so REAL, it felt like I could reach out and touch Dr. Hathoway. I wanted to strangle her, but how could I strangle someone that wasn't there? "If you try anything, you'll pay for it!" Dr. Hathoway's voice hissed. Now I was hearing things. I sank to the floor, my hands against my ears, trying to block her voice out. But it didn't work. She laughed, a devious yet musical sound, and spoke again. "Remember Rose, the cameras will see you. My guards will find you. You're pathetic. You can't stop me... nobody can!" "Shut UP!" I shouted, punching the wall. The pain didn't register, but the noise did. The thud travelled down the hall, and I faintly heard a door click open. Soon my door was tentatively opened, and Daphne poked her head in the room. "Rose... where were you?" I just stared at her from the floor, and the tears bubbled over my eyes, sending a torrent of water down my cheeks. A look of horror and disgust registered on Daphne's face. "The sent you to Solitary?!" she gasped, kneeling down to hug me. "I'm so sorry! Are you alright? Did she shock you?" "How would you know what she did?" I whispered. Daphne sighed, looking up at me. "Because... I was sent there before."
