So Jesus is alive on this day and at the mall? JK So he is alive and in human form? Sorry I'm not Christian or Catholic. ~
It was not a zombie Jesus, it was Jesus in real life. Not a ghost or anything. And eggs and bunnies are not even closely compared to the amazing thought of Jesus raising from the dead.
Eggs were forbidden during the Lenten season (a Catholic tradition) where people gave up primarily dairy and meat. Eggs were considered a form of dairy. So on Easter Sunday, Lent ends and people are allowed to eat eggs/dairy and meat! Christ is risen! Happy Easter to all believers and non-believers.
Ahem...and in answer to the other question, most Christians believe that Jesus "died" after a while, but that he will be born again. Happy Easter! Happy chocolate bunny day! And the bunnies and duckies and whatnot do serve a purpose in today's society, especially for Protestant religious folk.
