I don't hate lol. I prefer the warcrafts from back when they were a different type of game :3. Trust me, I'm a nerd ;D
"Base Three?" I ask, ignoring the fact that I dislike him. "Yeah man, third base. Base Two is up in Canada, Base One, Headquarters, is in the North Pole." My curiosity could not be contained. I knew, without a doubt, that these mutations existed. But how? "Dude, I sympathize. It's just like how you have brown eyes. It's built into you, it's not something you can control. It's an alteration that happens in the mothers bloodstream during the second month of pregnancy that cannot be determined. Chemical M, as we call it. The strand of DNA is altered so that it's wired completely wrong, therefore it evolves into something entirely different. This alteration is what causes our odd abilities. They often have to do with the mind. Like for example, Vivian can alter the sound barrier surrounding you by manipulation of the mind. I myself have the ability to cause soil shift using my ability to use telekinetic suggestion on inanimate objects that seems to only really work on the minerals and salt found in soil, dirt and clay." he says, explaining carefully. I still was not sure. It was scary, thinking about it. I frown. Felix is standing up. He stretches and looks at me. "Ethan, this is the medical wing of the building. Because normal medicine usually doesn't do any good on us, the people with serious brainpower have come up with a painkiller strong enough to effect us." he holds up a bottle of blue colored tablets. "It looks like Viagra." "That's because it is. It's one of the few modern medicines that work on us." he explains, his face is red and I chuckle a bit. He picks up a bottle of red colored tablets. None of the bottles have labels, and they're all clear. There are lots on the shelf opposite to me. "What're all those for then?" "Those? Those are prototypes of some interesting poisons and assorted diseases in pill form." he tells me casually. "What?!? Right next to the medicine?!?" I yelp. "Of course not. The medicine is safe in the doctor's office." he tells me. "We have the poison there incase we ever have the upper hand on an enemy and we decide to off him." I nod somewhat gravely and look around. The area seems to be stable, and sterilized. It looks like a mini hospital. I suddenly had a realization. "What about your adopted parents?" "What about 'em?" "Do people live here full on? How do you make an excuse for this? You took me right before dinner!" "Calm down. The older Origins often do settle down near here, but only runaways are full-time. Older Origins pose as parents and they're transferred and all of that. The records are easily copied and everything works out. Your parents thought you came down, are dinner, did the dishes, and played on your Xbox all night. We have all sorts here, including the freaky mind-controllers. Those of us living with out adopted parents just erase their memories with this." he pulls a small metal stick from his pocket with a pump on the top. "It's like Men in Black." I start laughing absurdly. I think my mind is slowly adjusting to the idea of this. I still don't believe it, really. I nod. "Well, we should probably go see Viv. She usually goes off and cries after she initiates it. She's probably in Neil's room." he rolls his eyes. "He just wants to get some." I nod and we exit the medical ward. The empty medical ward.i can't believe it there's no one else inside. Hmm...
