No! No candy! Someone random guy in the street will give em candy. And they be drawing Inside his white van?
Use a ticker crayon, it's easier for little hands. Don't push them, just work on it in 5min intervals when they are interested. Pushing learning on them when there're bored of it and want to do other things will leave a bad taste in their mouth. Let their school teacher pop that bubble. No need to do it yourself lol Also try sidewalk chalk. My kids pay better attention when they get to draw on the ground outside, than sitting at a table indoors.
My little bro is 3 but he seems a little too young to be tracing letters but try using your phone/I pad/ipod and get an app for it. I know it sounds bad teaching them to use electronics so soon but it's easier and keeps their attention longer lol.
Let kids be kids, read them stories every night to improve their vocabulary but don't worry about the letter for at least another year
Terrible 3. When they're old enough to walk they need discipline. Maybe not a spanking but you need to get them to understand your word is the law and you don't take any nonsense especially not from a 3 year old. Anyway, I would agree that maybe 3 is too young to be teaching them how to write but they should at least start learning how to identify the alphabet, how to spell certain things, and get them started on reading. Buy alphabet blocks, games, stickers, fridge magnets. Use ABCmouse. Make em watch Sesame Street (the old Sesame Street) Find baby books about the alphabet. They'll catch on eventually.
He might not be scared of his dad yet bc he's not even finished developing his emotions. If you whip a three year old you're gonna screw up his development ???wait till they're older. You can be stern with a baby but patience is a virtue.
Yeah my parents whooped my ass into learning so I don't wanna do that. Lol. But I thought it would be easier since kids these days pick up everything quicker than I picked up things when I was that age.
IT'S THE BEST WAY ? YOU HAD TO ANSWER CORRECTLY SO YOU GET A MINUTE OF KNEELING IN THE SALT AND IF YOU GET IT WRONG SHE ADDS ANOTHER MINUTE
Try getting them to learn to write their names instead of just letters. My son picked up writing his name quick because it interested him, and other letters took longer bc they had no specific meaning to him
They're too young. They'd probably rather just play around. I have taught and children start learning at 5. I'm sorry but they're too young right now.
It really can depend on the kid. Most kids can't hold a writing utensils properly yet at that age. You may even see them holding it with the whole hand around it. Looking more like a fist. With kids at that young of an age you need something fun to keep the attention but then rewarding at the end. Some kids like crackers or small cookie snacks. Once they learn 1 letter give them a treat. In doing that they will be more likely to sit down and learn after they get used to it bcuz of the treat. You then make them do more as you go for that treat. Don't make them work on one thing too long tho bcuz most will get bored easy and want to play. Them playing is also learning too and helps develop the mind aswell. Words are gd to teach while doing print. Say they like puppies or a kitten. Show them pictures, say the word, then write it.
