I support adoption over fertilization. In fact, I don't support fertilization at all. The world is already overpopulated. Adopting would be the perfect solution for those children. Besides I strongly believe that Parenthood is defined by the role and the love, not by the genes. Anyone can procreate, but procreation alone isn't parenting. Parenting is loving, providing, protecting...
Anyway, I didn't mention adoption because in OP's scenario there should not be any children, unless we count pre-hormone therapy trans people (who, I apologize, forgot to count).
