diff between bigender and two spirit? Is it the genes, or culture of certain native Americans that allows them to be this? Didn't know that spirits were socially constructed I feel like, for this to be valid, everyone would need to be able to identify with it too. Let's not intersect race and gender so casually.
Has nothing to do with genes or culture. Ppl who believe in cree religion believe that everyone is born with 2 spirits. My issue is with ppl who call themselves 'two spirit' not realizing it's a religious thing and thinking it's something you can choose and it's singular to you, when in the religion it's not identity it's something everyone is born with.
In Judaism it's believed that everyone, even G-d, is comprised of male and female parts. I'm pretty sure it's translated to Christianity too but unsure. I get that it's a religious belief in that culture but it's also essentially a scientific, biological fact that whatever mental faculties the "spirit" resides in, would be both masculine and feminine. It's also misleading when it's supposedly added to the canonical LGBT+ acronym when it isn't a gender identity, and it's literally just a belief. But I guess Kitten already said that and has reservations about certain groups taking this movement to be indigestibly absurd. Is it even something you can call yourself when it's something that everyone is? I'd blame the acronym for people misappropriating it.
that's why it's ridiculous and offensive. Because by the correct definition, everyone is two-spirit, is my point. But a lot of ppl use it to mean non-binary or a 3rd gender even though that's never what it was meant to mean in the first place
Yikes I don’t think there should be “SEE (insert different word)”, all of them are different in their own ways,,,,, maybe I’m just being picky but ??♀️?
I identify as lesbian although I am male gendered. I feel as we are free to make our own definitions for our sexuality. Who are you to restrict how I choose to see myself? People that make these definitions are no better than the system they claim oppressed them and trying to place them into male and female categories. There are 2 genders and I am a male lesbian. #DealWithIt
The differences are pedantic. and Kitten explains the reason behind it. For pansexuals: There are only 2 ends of the gender spectrum, and for polysexuals, there are only 2 ends on the gender spectrum. Polysexuality relies on a third, disputed, gender. And pansexuals don't show a preference for gender? They still both mean "we doing the boys and the girls"
I’m pansexual. To me that means gender does not matter. Bisexuals (that I know or have interacted with!) normally only like male or female, but pansexuala don’t care. Non binary? Sure! Genderqueer? Okay! There are no limits when pansexual, that’s why I think the difference DOES indeed matter, because it can be quite a huge difference.
Conservatives have babies at a much higher rate than liberals. The future is conservative. Male lesbians ftw
end of the day, you're porking a guy or a girl, doesn't matter? They're still a guy or a girl. So you still hit both sides of the spectrum, you still porking bidirectionally
That’s not quite how it works. There’s a big difference in only being attracted to certain people and then being attracted to anyone no matter identity. ?
I’m not some random nub lmao my old account was 12mcs, I just don’t care much about stats nowadays. That doesn’t matter though lol that’s not what this thread is about
