How is club rank determined?
Is it based on how strong the members are, or a combination of other things?

 

Those orange diamond things are called extra credits which you can buy from the nurse using real money or you can do jobs which have a 2% chance of dropping extra credits.

 

Club rank is based upon total club stats, just like your individual rank within the club is based on your stats and tb.
