Yes. A holiday is basically a celebration, people who celebrate Kwanzaa are people celebrating their heritage. As simple as that m8. Either way what makes a holiday real or not real to you op?
I'm an earlier post to this thread, I gave my definition of a "real holiday." My reasons for Kwanzaa not being a real holiday are its recent creation (lack of historicity) and small amount of participants in its celebration. If it was older or had more participants, I would fully support considering it a real holiday. Even though we disagree, you have been very civil. Thank you.
As much as Christmas is these days Or the queen's birthday. For sure it's a holiday. Not sure if it's religious and actually holy. I'm not gonna google it. But holidays don't need to be religious anymore. I mean, heck, where I live we say holiday in stead of vacation. "Going holidaying"
Stupid ass thread should be locked...just cause you don't celebrate it doesn't mean it's arguably not a real holiday...you don't celebrate Diwali but it's a real holiday I don't celebrate Christmas but it's a real holiday...and I'm fairly certain more ppl heard/know of Kwanzaa than those of Diwali...is Canadian thanksgiving a real holiday? Stupid ass ppl
Your stats aren't high enough to have that opinion sir, this is pimd, you must be 10mcs or higher to even have your own opinion
Yes but its relatively new. So the practice of the holiday is still growing. The movement was bigger when it first started and then kind of lost momentum. Kwanzaa was created only 51 years ago and is targeted to a specific group of people for a specific purpose. Its not an American national holiday, no but its still a holiday.
Your post count isn't high enough to be taken seriously sir/madam, this is forums. You must have at least 3k post to be taken seriously.
