Pizza is not bread. One of the ingredients is bread but that doesn’t mean the finished product is bread. Of course if it’s a plain piece of pizza dough with no toppings whatsoever then yes you could call it bread, but then you couldn’t call it pizza. But the added toppings is what makes a pizza.
Is OP’s first language one that does not really differentiate between bread and bread-based dishes such as sandwiches? Otherwise this is just ???????
Pizza is not pie, Because not all pizza needs to be cooked in pans as pie does. Pie crust is lots of butter in it. Pizza crust does not. Feeling like making pizza dough rn.
The only difference between pie crust and pizza is the butter vs oil. You use oil to make pizza dough. It’s still a pie. We used pans for making pizza where I worked and no, you don’t have to use those pans, you can just use a flat surface; but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a pie. What makes it a pie is the consistency of the dough once it’s been mixed.
So you supported that the consistency of the doughs make pie vs. Pizza more different. While when I make Italian bread and pizza the recipe is more similar in both recipes.
Bread always needs yeast and salt to make it. Pizza dough does not. You can use yeast to make a deep dish pizza. So, in conclusion, not all pizza is bread but it can be if you use yeast to make it. It is but it isn’t ??♀️
Lol. You use no yeast to make pizza dough? That dough must be cardboard like :? Especially without salt. Yuck
