yep, she has 39k. And she quit like 4 years ago. Imagine that. But she was extremely active in fan-fic. I believe Azarah has 28k, and I'm either 3rd or 4th place. Im pretty sure there was someone else around 26k.
Even if ATA was an American company, they still wouldn’t need to adhere to the first amendment considering the game is their intellectual property. They’ve made the Terms of Use very clear - hate speech is not allowed, discrimination is not allowed, graphic/violent content is not allowed, harassment of others is not allowed. Those rules aren’t any different from other apps either.
I’ve already noted that American companies are not required to follow the First Amendment. Once again, I think they should voluntarily choose to make it their standard... as some other platforms and organizations have done.
This is ATA, not the United States of America and there's a reason why they're came up with such policies. There are players from all over the world, not just USA. Why would ATA have to make pimd USA's shaped? No support.
Because America is the best... just kidding. I see that the majority of players on these Forums support bowdlerization, censorship, tyranny, and enforced “politeness” to stifle disagreements on what may actually be controversial issues. They will eventually regret their decision, or they will not and be miserable. However, if a petition is not popular, it is no true petition. Therefore, I will request that a moderator lock this thread, since that seems to be the will of the so-called electorate.
Because if censorship is wrong, and I think that it is, governments and companies that practice it should apologize for doing it. It is just like governments and companies have apologized for doing other things historically that were both legal and morally wrong.
Freedom of speach isn't a law, and it isn't granted to us by the Constitution. I think foreigners misunderstand our Constitution. Our Constitution lists feedoms we're willing to go to war over if you try to take them from us.
I believe the world goes beyond Canada's and America's boarders...so I personally think that filtering bad words and other harmful things in general is good when this is such a huge platform for people all around the world. I also don't see how that stops anyone from having freedom of speech? You can discuss sensitive topics in public in a decent manner, but it is sensitive just as it is now ...imagine "loosen" up the rules more
No Support. We want a gaming community where people are civil and respect other people instead of insulting or using inappropriate language/topics/bullying. There is no need for this type of behaviour in a game.
It’s very intriguing. You want there to be less censorship and more ability to speak freely, but yet you’re criticizing those who have an opinion different than yours? Seems a tad bit hypocritical.
