  15. The morning after the dance!!

    I woke up and looked over at the clock. I almost fell out of bed when I saw the time. It was almost 3:00 pm. I guess the party had really tired me out. My phone buzzed. I looked at it and saw that Jack had texted me. The text said "Good afternoon!! How are you felling today?"
    I wrote back "Good… tired, but good. How are you? And how's your face?"
    He texted back "I'm good. My face is fine. Don't worry about me. Go back to sleep if your tired. I'll see you tomorrow."
    "ok" I replied "see you tomorrow. <3"

    Next day (school)

    Jack drove me to school again. I was afraid that the story of me punching Ale would be out and that I would be in trouble, but when I got to school everything was completely normal except… Ale wasn't there!! Ale didn't come to school the whole week. But she was there the next week. She had a strip over her nose that let me know that I had broken it. I smiled when I thought about her nose which was now black, blue, and purple from the bruising. Whenever she even touches her nose it hurts her. I wonder what she does if she has an itch… She was moved out of my English class. I'm happy about that. I feel safer now. After history I was walking through the hallways with Jack when I suddenly realized that his birthday was in two weeks.
    "What do you want for your birthday?", I asked him
    He sat down on a bench to think. After a few seconds he said,"I don't know. I don't want you to get me anything though, ok?"
    "Too bad!", I said, then I smiled, kissed him on the cheek and we went to science.
