It was odd for me, to be so close to death. By now I was shallowly breathing, and was slowly drifting off. I woke up for a small moment before going back under. What was odd is I felt totally comfortable dying, and knew it was my time if I had saved this girl. Amanda may have been my survival partner, but I truly have grown to appreciate her more than anything. Not like it matters now. I was dying, and it was after I got eaten. Funny, I didn't die from that, I am about to die from the injuries of getting out of that! Doesn't that piss you off!? All the sudden water splashed over my face, and I slowly woke up out of my dream-like state. My eyes cleared up to the image of Amanda, she was holding water to my mouth. "Drink it, drink it damn it!" She yelled almost breaking into tears. With the strength I could muster I drank as much as I could. I had hope of living. All of the sudden without warning Amanda leaned in and gave me a very long, passionate kiss, while I lied there not able to do anything. My face lit up with happiness. "You can't ever die on me."
