I looked back at her, with all the courage I could muster up in my words, and said "I will get you out of here alive if it's the last thing I do." She smiled and leaned up against my shoulder. I could tell she was trying as desperately as me to keep her sanity. It was a true challenge to keep our sanity in a world this terrible. "HELP!" I heard a female voice screech. "Amanda, look!" I said pointing to a girl with her clothes ripped, showing much skin. Her long blonde hair was swaying everywhere as she ran. Her pretty face was trickled with sweat. Her blue eyes were begging for help as the fear shone through them. Her make up was smeared with the tears falling down as she cried from her fear of getting killed. There were about three of them chasing her. They were in their human hosts, who barely looked human anymore. Their strong figures stood out, and their bubbling skin looked like they were going to burst. They looked as if they'd die on their own, but I wouldn't trust it. I saw Amanda run up with her shotgun and shoot all of them with nearly perfect aim. All six shots used for them, and the parasites that exited. I was just sitting up against the wall, while this beautiful blonde girl was saved by my fellow companion. Anthony was already staring her down with hungry eyes, and I desperately wanted to punch him. But my weakness limited me, as I could not walk, or barely move. I wouldn't heal for while. And I knew it. Amanda was calming the girl down across the hall, while I was slowing drifting off. I was dying finally. I died for a purpose, a thing I could be proud of. I died saving the girl I vowed to. I died happily without regret. Or...I thought I did until I woke up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This story is great! The theme reminds me of this old movie called Aliens. I love both of your characters and how you described them. Great job!
