Go figure, love. I love how you chose a parasite for the monster, instead of any other commonly used monster. (Such as a mummy, vampire, werewolf-) I like how the atmosphere is placed in the words as well.
Amanda's POV My deep, brown eyes darted around the mall. People were getting sicker by the second. I gripped onto my bag and shuddered. "Has to be a bad case of the flu." I thought when i ran into something. I looked up and saw a guy with wet, black hair and a slim face. He looked as confused as I was. I was about to say something when a movement caught my eye. A girl had stood up, blood trickling from her mouth. Her face looked... Dead. I gasped as she lunged at a man. She missed and fell to the floor. I watched in horror as a Black creature tore her throat. The people all around us began to panic. The guy grabbed my arm and lead me to a closing store. He then pushed me under the gate and followed. ---------------- Yesssss
Adam's POV "What the ****?" The clerk exclaimed, before he realized the situation. "Way to introduce yourself." The girl said as she got up from the floor. "I'm Adam." I said, retaliating. "Amanda. Now, what do we do?" She asked, looking fearful. "We wait." I said calmly. And we did, we waited hours. The hours passed by, and we grew hungry. The mall calmed down, and looked empty. However, we knew this was not the case. Looking out the cage-like door, I saw nothing. I knew we had to do something, and I was going to have to make the first move. So, I looked around. I quickly realized we were in an antique store. Antique clothing, furniture, and...weapons. We were in a mall, so I thought an antique store was kind of weird, but I wasn't going to ask questions. The guy had an old hatchet. It was old-looking, and probably dull. For a weapon though, it'll do. I need it. I slowly popped open the metal cage-like door up. Amanda followed close behind me. I tried to find her a weapon, but there was no others. My next stop would be the store I went to earlier. They have knives. I crept along the wall, looking in all directions. People were lying all over the place, seemingly dead. Blood was scattered across walls, and black goo was oozing from every crease. I heard a scream come from the food court, and immediately started running towards it. I bursted in and saw a girl running, she was not wearing much. I could see much skin, but she was wearing enough to cover the good stuff. I couldn't see her much before she bolted out a door. Then I saw it, what she was running from. It was a man, but he was much different. He was huge, and he had talon like nails, with the arms to stab them through someone with ease. How did this happen? It was seemingly impossible, yet it was right in front of me. It's as if whatever started this has evolved. "Stay here!" I yelled to Amanda, as I rushed forward. I was obviously no match for him, but I had to try. So, sliding under him, I stood up behind him and plummeted the axe right into his head. He dropped, and something came out of him. It lunged at me, latching onto me. Trying to tear into me. I grabbed a leg off of the spider-like creature and pulled until it came off. The creature quickly jumped off in pain. My axe was lodged into the man's brain, so it was only me. I went into planning mode. Taking in my surroundings, and planning my next move. I ran for a deli. The creature tailing behind me. It lunged at me, and I barely jumped out of the way. I quickly got up and ran as fast as I could. I dived into the deli, and swiftly grabbed a butcher knife. When the creature lunged at me, I held it up, and that was that. I'd hate to haft to deal with more of those...parasites. I already had blood all over me, and a challenge faced at me like no other. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Proving to be quite a challenge I'd say! Imagine them in groups!
