Adam's POV Voices inside my head were telling me something was wrong. I decided to not listen, being me of course. My senses were overwhelmed. I could see and hear everything. I could see the cracks in the small lines between the floor tiles. I could hear the wind brush against the doors outside. We were locked inside because of an emergency lock system. I could smell people. I didn't know where they were, or how many, but I could smell them. I don't know what was happening, maybe it was my imagination. It was nearing night, and I could hear the bugs already buzzing around. I knew we weren't safe in the dark, and I knew we needed shelter. Why hadn't I thought about this before? A sporting goods store! I walked in, looking around cautious. I beckoned Amanda in before pulling down and locking the gate. Things were scrambled about the place, and broken sporting goods were all over. I grabbed a duffel bag and started packing a golf club, and a bat. I threw Amanda a duffel bag. This will be my weapon bag. It can't fit much, but it'll do. I lied down on one of the decorative mats and closed my eyes. I assumed Amanda did too. Finally, peace. I went to sleep with my heavy eyes finally being able to shut. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quite a challenge these two are facing.
Update! NOW! Man these updates come by fast. Usually with the stories that I read it takes a day or two. I feel all good and bubbly on the inside now.
Amanda's POV I watched Adam fall asleep and sighed. I went back to when Erin attacked me. Adam had picked up off the ground and broke her skull by throwing on the sidewalk. I shuddered, something was happening to him... I could feel it. I looked at the objects in the store and sighed. There was nothing very useful for weapons. There was golf clubs and bats but that was it. I looked at the gate and sighed. I could never feel safe. After that parasite we just saw, Adam's strength change... I didn't feel... Safe. I slapped myself mentally. Adam was sticking with me and I should trust him more. Maybe it's adrenaline... I smiled, thats what it was adrenaline. "Why aren't you sleeping?" I turned to see Adam staring at me. I frown "I can't..." Adam sighs "Well try anyway, you won't stand a chance if you don't get enough sleep. I nod and turn on my side. I hear him begin to softly snore and I stifle a giggle. "He snores" I thought then rolled my eyes. "You're an idiot Amanda." I thought. I soon succumbed to my exhaustion and feel asleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ lol she talks to herself a lot
