Amanda's POV I gulped. "The parasites were going to grow bigger?!?!" I looked at the ground and shuddered. "Our nightmare was growing by the second..." I thought. Adam looked at me "We have to move on." I nodded and stood up. I didn't walk as close to Adam as i usually did. I was... Scared of him. When he picked up Erin and threw her at the ground cracking her scar I knew something wasn't right. He gave me a worried look and continued to walk. I looked around, gripping my machete. My eyes darted around for any signs of people, and movement. The farther we went the more bloody the mall became. At one spot i almost slipped because the blood was so thick. I closed my eyes and felt my stomach doing flip-flops. Adam looked fine though, other than he was always thinking about something. "Where are we going?" I asked. Adam sighed "Hopefully we can find someplace where They aren't." I nod and look around. It was clean in this part of the mall. Everything here looked just like a normal day just without the people. I heard something clacking against the tiles and turned around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ just saying i'm not making them short on purpose!

Adam's POV I turned around. What was standing before me was as tall as me. 6'1", and about 6' wide and long. It wasn't human, it was a parasite, all alone, waiting for someone to attach to. No way in hell was it gonna be me or Amanda. In my mind, I made a subconscious oath to protect her with all I could. It started crawling with 10 gigantic legs. I sprinted towards it, my weapon out. My body full of strength as I plummeted towards it. In once quick dash, I impaled it from the bottom by going under it. It fell to the ground. It wasn't dead, it was moving, and I knew we had to run. It was slowing standing up again, and I kicked it back down, before grabbing Amanda by the arm and almost throwing her forward. "Run damn it! Run!" I yelled waving my hand out. I sprinted as the giant chased me after it got back up. It reached a leg out to me, but I jumped just barely getting out of the way. I was going to get killed, I just felt as if I was going to get murdered there. I had an idea, and it was very stupid, but with an absence of good ideas, it was my only choice. I stopped, turned around. And when it was close, I got ready already cringing at the thought, and jumped on it. Now what? ------------------------------------------------ A challenge beyond any other!
