Here's the next chapter, enjoy! ~ Chapter 4 Eg stopped her thoughts and the pair of children disappeared immediately, soon replaced by thin air. Elina shuts the door behind her and sits beside Eg "how did you do that?" She repeats her question from earlier. "I don't know, I was stressed. My head was filled with what ifs and I thought back to a peaceful time. That was the time I thought of." Eg shrugs slightly “Who is that boy?” “He died soon after that.” “Are you sure?” “After what has happened today? I have no clue at all.” Elina pulls Eg into a hug. “Come on; let’s get ready for that bonfire.” Eg smiles and helps her friend up, grabbing her jacket and pulling her out the room. Titania stands waiting with a leather jacket on and holding out Elina’s jacket. The keys were soon out the dish and the trio walked down the stairs to the beach. The sun was just setting leaving pink and orange in the sky instead of blue. Elina looks more beautiful and more like Elene in the pale light. The orange complimented her hair, making it look like it was rippling with flames as it fluttered in the breeze. Nyx was sat on a log watching the trio approach. Her ebony hair flowed past her face in the gently breeze hitting her knees. She sang gently to herself, a favourite of hers "can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars." A couple of people started drumming the beat on the logs they were sat on. So she started the song again louder so everyone could hear. "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars. I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now. Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars. I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now." She stopped as someone started rapping the next bit. The voice was unfamiliar to Nyx, but Eg froze in her spot. It was a old friend. A childhood friend who she hasn't seen since he left Paradise two years ago. It was Kip. She sat on a log and the other two sat either side of her. Eg stared lazily into the fire, the flames matching her hair. Why didn't he tell me ran through Eg's mind, it was almost taunting her. He came back but never said. There had to be a reason why he didn't say a word, right? She thought to herself. They finished the song, causing Kip to walk other to the other singer to shake her hand. "You must of come to the town after I left. You're a good singer." Kip said and Nyx smiled. "Thanks, I'm Nyxina Darkheart. You are?" "Kip. Nice to meet you." He offered her hand and she shook it "You are a good rapper by the way." "Why thank you. I used to do it with my friend but she sung like you." "I'm sure she is good." Nyx returned with a smile. Kip nods distractedly while looking for Eg. The fire blocks his view of her, but his heart still knows she is there. She has to be here he thinks to himself "I'm going, nice meeting you." He says briefly and walks away before Nyx can reply. She shrugs slightly and plays with her hair watching the flames. Kip stands watching Eg in her small group before walking over to them. Elina nudges Eg with her arm and she looks at him "you didn't say you were coming." Eg says starting the conversation. He sighs "I'm sorry I meant to but I didn't." "You always call to check if I have a spare room, which is always." Titania remains oblivious to the ongoing conversation "when is breakfast tomorrow?" She asks. Eg smiles and replies "at nine. I've still got a spare room. Depends if you want to come to the council building tomorrow." She switches who she directs the comment to when she answered Titania's question. "Who's this new friend then? A bit younger your usual friends." Kip comments causing Eg to stand up, but she had to look up otherwise she would be looking at his chest. "She came to the town searching for refuge. I need to speak to you." She takes his hand and steps over the log before Kip could protest. Eg takes him far enough from the fire so no one will hear them. "Why are you acting like this?" "Acting like what?" "Like a jerk. Not like the Kip I know." Eg says rubbing her arm slightly to warm herself. "I haven't changed Eg." "You have Kip. You would never say something like that to someone you don't know." "Eg..." "Where's the kind Kip I know?" Kip wraps his jacket around Eg's shoulders. "He never left." Eg doesn't meet his eyes and looks at the sea. "I'm sorry I just got caught in the fact..." Kip pulls Eg to close to him in a hug interrupting what she was saying and he plays with strands of her hair "I missed you too." He whispers. She melts into his chest wrapping her arms around his waist. Elina sits by the fire smiling as she can hear the conversation. Her senses improve near water, causing her hearing to be impeccable. "Are they friends again?" Titania asks and Elina nods in response. Titania glances back at the pair, but Eg's 1.6m frame is blocked by Kip's 1.9m one. "Don't come without tellling me again." Eg mumbles "I'll remember next time." Kips says as he leans his forehead on the top of her head. He kisses the top of her head and mutters "it will be the same as before." She nods in response and he picks her up. She wraps her legs around his waist and buries her head in his shoulder. "Just like before." She whispers. Elina and Titania wander over to the pair. Kip starts walking back to Eg's apartment but puts her down after a few yards. The group walk back silently being watched by Nyx as they disappear into the darkness. Eg takes the stairs up to her apartment two at a time again. She opens the door and flops onto the sofa while Elina and Titania head to the bedrooms chatting. Kip sits on the sofa beside Eg, causing her to put her head on his lap. Eg lays there enjoying the quietness of the waves lapping the shoreline. "Fill me in on the deal with those two." Titania says to Elina as they are sat on the bed in Elina's room. "What I know is they have vowed to care for each other like boyfriend and girlfriend." "So they're together?" "In a sense, yes. They were like this before Kip left a couple of years ago." "Where did he go?" "I don't know and neither does Eg. He always used to call ahead when he would stay for a week or two. But I these one day he didn't and Eg still hasn't forgiven him fully for leaving and not saying anything." "Childhood friends they were." "How do you know?" Elina was now confused. "I've seen Eg before a couple of times. One time was when she was sat making daisy chains with a boy who was later named Dimitris. That was about 14 years ago." "So when she was seven..." Titania nods in response. Elina gasped "I walked into her room earlier and saw that." "You can't of." "I did. Eg somehow managed to recreate that memory in front of her." "That can only mean one thing. She's one of us." "I've missed these moments." Kip says quietly into Eg's ear causing her to giggle as his breath touched her ear. "I missed them too." Kip moves some of Eg's hair, so her face is lit up by the pale moonlight. He kisses her cheek softly, "I missed them every single day." "Don't tell me you are feeling guilty about something." "Only about leaving you behind." "Where did you go anyway?" "I was travelling. You couldn't come even if you begged me to let you." "Oh really?" Eg raises an eyebrow "I didn't want you to get hurt. You mean too much to me. You remind me of who I am." Eg smiles settling into the sofa and Kip more. "Who could she be?" Elina pondered. "There was a goddess who was kidnapped after she was born wasn't there?" "Yeah there was. She was going to be the goddess of spring." "The devil must of had someone take her." "That was Elissa wasn't it? What colour hair did she have?" "Autumn leaves colour..." They both looked at each other. "That's Eg." Elina says "No wonder she reminded me of a doe. That was her symbol." Kip plays with Eg's hair to distract him. To make him stop thinking about what he done. To make him stop thinking about the night that he snuck out of Eg's flat to see another girl. Elina and Titania walk into the front room "Eg, can we talk to you quickly?" Elina says "What is it?" She replies, not moving. "Titania found a spider in her room and she's scared of them." Titania elbows Elina. "I'll get it for you." Kip says, standing up after moving Eg's head off his lap. Titania leads him to her room. "What do you really want to talk about Elina? It has to be good." "Its Elene, but you wouldn't know me like that." "Don't play games with me." "How well do you know your uncle?" "I'm not sure." "We've got a suspicion that he isn't actually your uncle." "Who do you mean by we?" "Titania." "Next you'll be telling me she's the queen of gods." Eg says mockingly "She's actually the queen of goddesses." "So who are you Eli... Elene?" "The goddess of water." "Where do I fit into this?" "We think you are the Goddess Elissa who was kidnapped after she was born." "But is that true?" "You look like her." Eg digests the information. Titania shuts the bedroom door behind her and seals the room using her powers. "What are you doing?" Kip asks "Asking you some questions." "Are you mad?" "I'm asking the questions." "On what authority?" "Mine." "Who are you?" "Titania." She replies bowing slightly "You mean the Titania." Kip stutters pointing upwards. "Yes that Titania." She rolls eyes. "What do you need to know." "Information about Eglantine." "She's human." "She's not. Tell me what you really know." Kip's guard falls down "I've been looking for information on her and her family. The Sweppelle's don't actually exist. There's only Eg. As for her uncle. Well... That's another story." Titania nods "What have you got on him?" "He's off the records. His profile only goes back to when Eg was born at a home birth. According to the file, her mum was a single mother but died during the birth. He has a clean record. Nothing against him." "Apart from the kidnapping of Elissa." "Who?" "Eg." "You mean she's a goddess, like you." Titania nods.
Here's the next chapter, enjoy!! Chapter five Kip sighs as he sits on the bed and puts his head in his hands. Titania approaches him and kneels in front of him "it's not a bad thing." "It is, I won't be able to see her when she does change." "If she is Elissa." "What if she's already changed?" "Then her powers would show." "Have they?" Kip asks. "Only one so far that me and Elene have seen." "I don't want to lose her." "I can assure you, you won't. You have my word." Titania places a hand on his thigh. He looks at it and then at her face. "Thank you." "There are many things I can choose to stop on Earth, love isn't one I will change. Go out there and don't tell her we had this conversation. Let her open up to you. Take this spider, it will look more believable." He nods wordlessly and takes the small spider carefully in his hands. Titania stands up, unsealing the door and then opens it and shrills "keep it away from me." As Kip exits the room smiling. Elene looks at Titania, who responds with a thumbs up. Their job for now is done. Sighing, she pushes the man away from her. The smell of nicotine and alcohol repulsed Nyx, especially in the breath of a fifty year old man. She stands up from the log and heads in the direction Kip went with his friends. Glancing at the seaside apartments she felt a pang of jealousy. But that turned into pure jealousy when she saw Kip on the balcony belonging to the biggest flat of them all. That apartment belonged to our dear friend Eglantine Sweppelle. She watched him set something down on the railing and then he looked out at the ocean, then locked onto hers. Smiling slightly she waved at him and he waved back, but turned away from her as someone was stood behind him. He didn't both looking back, so neither did she, but she made a promise she will get Kip one day. Away from who ever it was with him and have him for herself. Nyx was herself at night, it meant she was free from the bustling shopping centre and she could sing. Where ever she went at night, there was always a couple of drummers who could use any material to start the beat so she could always impress the crowd. Tonight had been different. She wanted to make the trio of girls jealous, however that idea came and hit her instead. She climbed up the steps off the beach and she heads back to her flat, three roads away. Smiling to herself she realised where Kip was staying. But the hardest part was going to figure out who was on the balcony. Nyx's eyesight was brilliant in the dark, so why couldn't she tell? One thing she hasn't realised is the trio were goddesses like herself, and she can't spy on others like her. Nyx had felt warm when they approached and when they were there, it she put that down to the fire. Not the fact she was with her own kind. She opened the door to her flat block and walked along the corridor to the back. The lucky thing had a ground floor flat so if she came in late, she wouldn't disturb the other people. She was a kind person which highly contradicted her last name as Darkheart but it didn't bother her. Deep down inside her heart felt dark, so she tried being nice to people when she could as she didn't know how much time she had left. You see, her parents died in a car accident when she was two. Eg smiled as she leaned into Kip's chest on the balcony. "I'm getting cold." She mutters causing Kip to laugh gently "Let's go inside then." He says leading her in. Eg closes the balcony door and closes the massive curtains for her lounge. Kip sneaks up behind her as she slips her shoes off and wraps his arms around her waist. "So I can't take my shoes off." She says teasingly trying to get out of his hold, but she can't. He looks at her with puppy eyes and she stops wriggling. They walk to Eg's room where Eg walks in straight away but Kip hesitates, thinking about the night he snuck out. Eg quickly swaps her jeans and T-shirt for her night dress causing Kip to smile, she hasn't changed in the two years away from her. "Where's your clothes?" Eg asks "That's the thing, I've only got the clothes on my back." "What happened to the rest?" "I donated them." Eg goes her walk in wardrobe. "Well you're lucky I kept these really." She mutters and walks back out. Kip had already stripped down to his boxers and lead asleep on her bed. A small smile crept onto her face and she slipped into bed beside him. He immediately pulled her to him and whispered in her ear, "night beautiful." Before falling asleep. Titania falls asleep only to be woken up by Elene's door opening. Curiously she gets off bed and watches Elene go out onto the balcony. Elene sits on the floor of the balcony and watches the sea "what's wrong Elene?" "I couldn't sleep Ti." "Why not?" "There was someone there at the fire, I'm just trying to figure out who it was." "So one of us was at the fire?" "Yeah, I could feel their presence even with the fire giving off heat." "It had to be one of the younger people there. So that's Kip, that dude who kept looking at you, the two drummers or..." "The singer." Elene says suddenly and Titania nods. "Its the singer. Her voice gave it away." "It was enchanting though." Titania sings the chorus of the song then Elene nods slowly. "She does sound similar to you." "What goddess is she then?" Titania sits in thought. Trying to think of the faces of her goddesses. Her brother appears on the balcony in front of the pair, nearly causing them both to scream. "What are you doing here?" Titania asks "The first thing you say to your brother after not seeing him for 2020 years is what are you doing here?" He replies "Yes. What is it?" "You've been more successful in finding the people I've sent down rather than the shadow heirs..." "Brother before you say anything else," Titania holds up her hand, "I've single handedly found Elene, the shadow heir, possibly the devil and the kidnapped goddess." "You didn't find the devil and her on your own, I help you." Elene says. Titan smirked at his sister "As you were saying." "I haven't finished. Send a warning next time you are coming." Titan chuckles. Kip stirs in his sleep and wakes up when he hears voices. He could identify the two girls, but the male voice was new to him. Forgetting he was only in his boxers he walked into the lounge and saw them on the balcony. "What are you guys doing out here?" He asks rubbing an eye because he was tired. Elene, Titania and Titan look up at him causing the girls to blush and look back towards the sea. Titan raised an eyebrow "he's not with either of you two is he?" "No he's with Eg." They both stuttered. Kip looked down at himself after their reaction, blushed and wrapped his arms around his middle. "Why are you girls out here?" Kip asks again. "I needed to think." Elene replies. "It was about the singer." Titania explains a bit more. "Oh Nyxina, she seemed nice." The trio of gods looked at each other "How many did you send down?" Titania asks her brother in shock. Kip looks at Titan "anyway who are you?" "Titania's brother." "So you're one of them as well?" He asks pointing upwards causing Titan to laugh. "Where did you find this guy he's brilliant." "Stop being rude. Yeah he's the king. Unfortunately." Titania says. Kip nods and walks back inside. Elene stands by the railing "Nyxina. That's Nyx isn't it." She comments when Titania glares at Titan. "I didn't know she came down." "How could you not know that the goddess of the night came to Earth?" Titania almost shouts. Titan shrugs his shoulders in response. "Just go." She tells him and he disappears. Elene and Titania walk back inside after he goes. "Should that be on the TV screen?" Kip says as they walk in. On the screen was Eg's uncle's Reed profile. They shrug and Kip runs into Eg's room. "Five more minutes." Eg mumbles when Kip shakes her. "Your uncle is calling." She groans, stands up, walks into the the lounge "answer." "Eglantine." " This better be good uncle. Have you seen the time?" "I have seen the time Eglantine." Eg runs a hand through her hair "What's so urgent then?" "Is your friend over from Greece?" "Yeah... She always comes this time of year, you know that." Elene stands frozen by Titania, so her friend reassures her by placing a hand on her arm. "Yes I do know. I was just checking." "What do you want to know uncle?" Eg was getting fed up of this pointless call. "How was the fire earlier?" He said before hanging up. The group looked at each other from their spots, he had information, but they didn't know who from. They all went back to sleep, vowing to talk about it in the morning. Rayhan fumbles with his keys, hating the early morning starts to open his small restaurant for breakfast. He manages to find the key for the back door for staff and unlocks it. Stepping through the door he breathed a sigh of relief. He enjoyed working in the restaurant with his uncle and cousin. His uncle, the cook of the family, looked after the kitchen while Rayhan worked out front. After unlocking the front door he started setting up tables. Elene and Titania woke up first and were sat in the lounge dressed ready to go out. When the other two wander in Elene speaks up "I'm taking you guys out for breakfast as a treat." The pair nod, turn round and get changed. The group head out the flat, down the main street and into Rayhan's restaurant. Little did Rayhan know, he was hosting some of the most powerful people on the planet. He smiled when he saw Elina walk in with her friends. "Elina, you're in town again." His black eyes smiled as much as his lips. "I guess I am." She replies jokingly and sits down at her usual table. The group sit down as well and look at the menu. "So who are your friends?" "Well you know Eg, that's Kip and this is Titania, she came here a couple of days ago." Rayhan smiles welcomely at them all and takes their order. When he walks away Eg raises an eyebrow "I take it you've been here before." "Its called waiting for you to wake up in the morning." Elina replies jokingly.
Chapter six ★ The table laughs and Rayhan smiles. It wasn't often Elina came to town, but when she did, she always came for breakfast, occasionally with Eg, the mayor's niece. Every so often she would come for dinner with more people but would only talk to Eg. Elina was a bit of a wallflower compared to Eg, who was always popular because of who she is. She had always strived in the spotlight. But they worked together well, their personalities complimented each other to work as one. Almost like the Greek Gods and Goddesses Naufal has an obsession over. As soon as Rayhan thought of that his friends came bounding through the front door of the restaurant. Susma comes prepared for the day's work, Naufal and David come prepared for their relevant jobs at different places. Susma joins Rayhan at the till and the other two sits at a table, near Elina's group. "They'll take their usual." Susma says and Rayhan punches the order into the till. David and Naufal sit at the table, but David was too busy watching Titania at the other table. Elene noticed the attention Titania was getting and smirked, talking to Titania in her head "you've got someone's attention." "Whose?" "One of Rayhan's friends, sat at the other table. The one with the black hair." Titania glanced up while tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "You weren't kidding." Titania replies in her head. Sasuma picks up two of the orders from Elina's group and takes it to the table "the cheese omelette, let me guess that's you Elina." Elene smiles as Sasuma puts down the plate in front of her. "Who has the pancakes?" Titania raises her hand slightly "that's me." Sasuma places the plate down and glances to the side at David. He was still watching her. Susma shook his head as if to say don't bother. Rayhan walked over with the other plates, placing them in front of Eg and Kip. The pair walked away from the table and Susma mutters "David has his eye on the young girl." Rayhan looks at their table from behind the till "I can see why, but she won't go for him." Susma nods in agreement and takes over his friend's plates. He places them on the table and sits down by Naufal "dude don't bother." Susma says "Why do you want her?" "No, but she won't go for you." "I've tried telling him that and he won't listen." Naufal protests before he starts eating the bacon on his plate. David shakes his head "why won't she then?" Naufal and Susma glance at each other. "What is it?" David questions. "Gut feeling sent from the Gods." Naufal replies "And how often are you right on those?" David replies sarcastically. Naufal looks slightly hurt. "Titania herself sent me that warning I'll have you know." Elene and Titania nearly burst out laughing from the boys' conversation because of their reaction to what Titania sent to Naufal. Eg raises an eyebrow causing Titania to send a mental message to her "I'll tell you later." Eg nods and then the girls laugh to make it seem as Kip said a joke. The boys stop their conversation to look at the other table as they were laughing. "What's your problem?" David calls over. "He told a joke." Eg replies. Kip catches on "I wasn't joking, I was being serious." "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." Elene says between laughter. Titania starts saying her food again but chuckles every time she looks at Kip. Naufal and Susma look back at David as if to say told you so, he just sulks and continues eating his breakfast. Susma stands up and walks back to the counter to talk to Rayhan "Naufal said he had a gut feeling from the gods again." Rayhan rolled his eyes. "What is he like, too caught up in that for his own good." "But this time he specified what God it was." "Who was it?" "Titania." Rayhan looks at Susma. "The new girl over there is called Titania." Susma laughs. "No she isn't," Rayhan nods, "you're kidding me. Please say you're pulling my leg." "I'm not lying." The pair look at Elina's table then look at each other again. "Ray, can I have the bill please?" Elene calls across the restaurant. In response he picks up their receipt and walks over to their table. "Here you go. You probably already know the total." Rayhan says just before Elene hands him the right amount of money with a tip. The small group leave and David soon goes out the main door after leaving his share of the money on the table. David wandered to the army office in town and settles in a swivel chair within his small office after signing in. He sat waiting for something to do, but couldn't think of anything to fill the time. Feeling sleepy, he rested his head on his arms on top of his desk and drifted off to sleep. Naufal had long left the restaurant when Rayhan and Susma started preparing for the lunch service. Susma was watching people walking past the restaurant on their way into the shopping centre when he saw a beautiful girl wander past. Her hair matched the sheen on the black top she was wearing that belonged to the company she worked for. He was caught up in his enchantment when Rayhan punched his arm lightly "dude stop daydreaming. There's a customer." Susma looked up to see the girl had walked into the restaurant. "Its your turn isn't it?" Susma mumbled and Rayhan shook his head. Sighing Susma walked over to the table she sat down at. "I'm Susma and I'll be serving you today. What drink could I get you?" The dark haired girl considered her options on the menu and looked up at Susma. Her almost mystical blue grey eyes reminded him of the moon in a clear night but he mentally reminded himself he needs to do his job. "Can I just have water please?" She asked sweetly and Susma nodded writing it on his pad of paper. "Are you ready to order your food or do you need time?" She glanced back at the menu " I need time." Susma nodded and walked back to Rayhan "She wants a drink of water." Rayhan nods, fills up a glass with cool water from the tap and passes it to Susma to take to the table. He wanders over, carefully puts the glass on the table in front of her "I'm ready to order." She comments as he stands hovering by the table. "What would you like?" Susma says before another customer walks through the door. "Can I have the cheese burger with wedges please." Susma nods writing it down on his pad. "Did you want anything specific in the burger or just plain?" "Can I have tomato sauce in it please?" Susma smiles, adds that to the order and walks away from the table and puts it into the till. Nyx smiled slightly to herself, he was sweet, but not her type, as she was still going to try and get Kip. No matter what it took. She took a sip of her water, trying to get herself focused on the work she would have to do in an hour. Susma put her food in front of her and walked away again. It was something about her men liked, but she didn't let it get to her. She ate her food and only three other people and groups came in so she made a note to come here more often on her smartphone. She left the empty glass, plate and the money for the bill on the table, not wanting the change from the ten pound note she left for a five pound meal. She wouldn't need the money anytime soon. Susma picked up the money, considering whether to chase after her to give her the five pound change, but if she did, she would of stayed. He cleared the table and headed out back to have a break for five minutes. Nyx stopped when she saw who was in the back area behind some shops. It was Susma. She smiled and walked over "look who it is." "Oh hi. Did you want the change?" "No its fine." Nyx smiles slightly at his kindness. "Did you enjoy your meal?" "Yeah, it was really nice. I'm planning on coming every day before or after work, depending when I start." "I'll look out for you then." Susma comments lightly, causing Nyx to smile. "Thanks. Do you work there every day then?" "Yeah, my friend Rayhan owns the restaurant. I believe I didn’t catch your name.” “I’m Nyxina, but people call me Nyx.” “Oh like the goddess of the night? I can see why your parents named you that because of your eyes and hair.” Nyx hesitates slightly before answering, remembering she doesn’t know her parents. “Yeah you could say that.” “My friend Naufal likes Greek mythology. I say like, he’s absolutely crazy about it. Earlier we had a girl called Titania in the restaurant with her friends, and David kept watching her. Then out of nowhere, Naufal gets a gut feeling sent from the goddess Titania. I thought it was a bit of a coincidence but never mind. I don’t know why I told you that.” “Titania you said her name was? Who were her friends?” “I only know Elina and the mayor’s niece. I didn’t know who the guy was but he seemed nice.” “I’ve got to go to work. Nice talking to you.” Nyx said before walking back into her work place. She had finally found her queen. Well her queen had found her. Titania smiled as the group sat on a hill at one of the parks. This reminded her of home, the almost paradox that was her home. You see, they live on the moon. No before you ask they aren’t moon people. As you all appearances can be deceiving, especially in this case. But what about the numerous moon landings and rovers I hear you scream at the book. Well the gods simply maintained the spell around their home while the cameras were around. An outsider that is human can never truly see their world, unless they were invited by a god or goddess. They’re world is like Earth, with less water and more land, and war only tarnishing the soil if enemies came. Those enemies include the Devil and his army of heirons and shadow heirs, also to a certain degree the Roman gods. Their world did include a small portion of the underworld at its centre, but you had to approach from the sides or directly above it otherwise you would end up hitting the base. Where’s the rest of hell? That’s easy, the sun’s centre. How do the gods get there then? Well there’s a portal instead of a long journey across space, in the underworld of the gods.

So enjoy your reading ~~~~~~ Chapter 7 “What was so funny in the restaurant?” Eg asks as she was fed up of trying to come to her own conclusion. “Well the one not eyeing Ti up is a big fan of ours, as in the Greek gods etc. and they were trying to convince their friend who was eyeing Ti up that she wouldn’t fall for him. So Ti sent him a gut feeling from her to say to David not to fall for her. We were listening to the conversation and found it funny.” Elene replies. “You made it seem like I told a bad joke just to cover laughing at their conversation? I’m hurt.” Kip says jokingly hold his hands to his chest over his heart. They all laughed at Kip, enjoying their time in the sun. Allowing the sun to reach her skin, Eg relished being in the sunshine. She leant back into Kip’s chest sitting in between his legs. She forgot her worries about losing Kip because of who she is. When should I tell him? She thought to herself, trying to find a way to put what she felt into words. She didn’t want to lose him, they were too close and she had a feeling that everything would work their way this time. It had to, right? Kip couldn't think of what to say to Eg, even after knowing her all these years, not a single word. He wanted to tell her how much he loved her and being who she is doesn't change anything at all. He wanted to say about how he snuck out and felt guilty about it. To say that her uncle isn't her uncle. Elene and Titania looked at each other, the silence between the other two spoke volumes to them, but they didn't know if the pair saw it. A phone started ringing and Elene got hers out. "Not mine." She said after seeing the screen black. Kip gets his out and looked at the number confused. He answered the call anyway and hears a voice from the restaurant on the phone. "Hi, it's David here, how can I help?" Kip laughed. "You called me." "I did? Oh I thought you called me." Kip raises an eyebrow, how could you not know you called someone. "Anyway, is that girl from the restaurant with you?" Kip smirked before answering. "Which one? I was with three." "Ahh, yeah you were, weren't you... The brown haired one." "What if she is with me?" Kip replies which makes him get a strange look from the girls. David smiled to himself, that guy had to be calling a bluff. He heard him say 'it's for you', cough and the phone swap hands. "Hello?" Said a female voice down the phone. "You don't know who I am do you?" David replies. Eg, Elene and Titania sit there with their hands over their mouths to stop them laughing. "No, not really." Kip answered keeping the female voice smooth. "Well I was at the restaurant earlier." "Oh right, which one are you then?" "Black haired one." "Oh... I thought Titania sent your friend a message saying don't bother chasing me." "How do you know?" "Good hearing." "Makes sense." David said shrugging slightly. "I'm sorry, I have to go." Kip said and then hung up. The group laughed at how well Kip kept up the voice. "How could you do that?" Titania asks. "Honestly? I have no idea." He replies. Elene and Titania stands up and looks around the park. Dimitris stopped at the bottom of the hill in the park. That was the same hair he saw yesterday, it had to be. The girl stood beside her seemed familiar as well... Elene saw Dimitris stood at the bottom of the hill and turned back to face Eg and Kip, still sat in each other's arms. "That's Doros." She mutters quietly to Titania. "Who?" Titania says turning around, looking for who she could mean. Eg shook her head while Elene put her head in her hands then smoothed her hair out of her face. "You can never be subtle can you Ti?" She asks laughing pulling her to face the rest of them. "Well you never said be subtle." "I thought... Never mind." Dimitris wandered up the hill to the group. Kip nodded in his direction, causing Elene and Titania to turn around. When Dimitris saw Elene he smiled more slightly. "Oh it Is you." He says smoothly. Eg and Titania raises an eyebrow at Elene, "girl who have you picked up and not told me." Eg says jokingly. Dimitris laughs "you're this town's mayor's niece, aren't you?" He asks Eg. She nods in reply, adding lightly "does that really matter?" "No, not really. Oh hey dude, I saw you two days ago at the market." Kip looked confused for a moment thinking back. "Oh yeah the market. You guys have a nice market over there." Dimitris shrugs. "It's nothing to do with me. Who did you get the thing for?" Kip's eyes widen as if to say, you shouldn't of said that. Dimitris glanced at Eg quickly then back at Kip "or that might of been me seeing things. Or someone who looks like you." "Yeah might of been Rick, people always got us confused when we were younger." Kip replies hoping the bluff worked. Eg never questioned anything, but she probably would later. "I never did catch your name yesterday." Dimitris said turning to Elene. "Well you didn't tell me yours so why would I tell you mine?" She replies smiling tucking some hair behind her right ear. Her signal to Titania for help me! Titania sent Elene a message in her head 'you're on your own' Dimitris laughs "that is true. Anyway nice catching up with you. It's Dimitris by the way." He says extending a hand. Elene shakes his hand "I'm Ele... Elina." Coughing slightly when she starts saying Elene. Dimitris pulls her hand slightly and hugs her quickly. "Um, these are my friends, you know Eg obviously, and saw Kip at the market. So that leaves Ti." Elene says blushing slightly. Dimitris looks at Titania "what does Ti stand for then?" Elene smiles at his back and sends Titania a mental message. 'You're on your own kid.' Titania replies in her head 'oh haha, that's not funny' Eg smiles listening to the pair bickering in their heads. "It's short for Titania, only Elina here calls me Ti. In other places a few people call me Ti." "Oh you mean like that Titania." Dimitris replies pointing upwards. Kip laughs "I told you it wasn't only me who thinks like that." Eg smiles then she stops suddenly. Dimitris knew her, he's not from this town and he has been at carnival once or twice, he seemed familiar from somewhere. Her eyes widened slightly thinking to last night when she had the memory in front of her. She looked at Dimitris's profile, it was like the boy's profile. Elene spotted Eg's face and sent her a message mentally 'what is it?' Eg hesitated before replying 'I know him...' 'Of course you do, you made daisy crowns with him when you were seven.' Titania said mentally. 'How do you know that?!?' Eg was getting confused. 'Um yeah, I was watching over you two at that time. I've always looked like this.' Titania replies softly. Eg leans her elbows on her knees and puts a couple of fingers on her temples. Kip looks at Eg concerned "what is it?" Eg stands up and walks further up the hill away from the group. She sits down, trying to think, but he died, I'm sure he did. That's what her uncle had said. Her uncle. She was meant to meet him soon. Dimitris just watches Eg go up the hill, "I know her from somewhere other than here." He comments quietly. Elene, Kip and Titania look at each other, "well you do. I'm surprised you don't remember me." Kip says causing Dimitris to raise an eyebrow. "I do now I've seen you and Eg together." "We got told when we were seven you had died by her uncle." "But you were just involved in a major incident so you had to be put into witness protection." Titania says. Eg runs back to the small group "come on we have to go." She says when she reaches them. Kip glances at her "oh yeah." He stands up and wraps an arm around Eg's shoulder. "Well I guess we'll see you later, unless you want to prove to my uncle you're still alive." Elene heads down the hill with Titania, leaving the childhood friends to sort themselves out. "Um if you don't mind an extra person in your group I'll come along." Dimitris says glancing at Elene's retreating figure. Eg smiles "you like Elina don't you." Dimitris blushes slightly. "Not that much..." "Aw come on you can tell us." Kip says lightly. Dimitris glances between his friends in front of him before nodding, "yeah okay, I do love her." Eg smiles. "Just give her time, trust me." She says patting his arm lightly then starting to walk down the hill to the pair of girls at the bottom. Dimitris and Kip smile at each other, Kip starts running down the hill and picks up Eg when he gets to her. "Hey be careful." She says leaning into him slightly. Dimitris walks down and Kip slips near the bottom of the hill, so he lands on his bum with Eg sat on his lap laughing. "What did I say?" Eg says between laughter. Elene and Titania nearly collapsed to the floor laughing at Kip. Eg got up from his lap and Dimitris helped him stand up. Kip was smiling and laughing at himself, the trio walked to Elene and Titania and they headed to the council building. Kip and Eg walked hand in hand, catching up with Dimitris about the fourteen years apart. Elene and Titania walk in silence to the passersby, Dimitris and Kip. 'He hasn't changed since the year 0.' Elene says. 'He came down almost a year before you.' Titania replies. 'That's beside the point, we were frozen before we came down so we don't know who went at what time.' 'I came down without being frozen.' 'That's different, you went after the battle.' 'With an injury. Being frozen would of done me good.' 'You were injured in the battle? Why didn't you see Klytie?' Elene almost let the emotion cloud her face. 'Titan sent me before I could do anything, I was about to say then he interrupted.' 'Where is it?' 'Right shoulder blade. It'll disappear when we go home or find Klytie.' 'Your brother would keep her up there, you know how much of a crush he has on her.' 'That is true. But he could of sent her here to protect her.' 'To possibly get killed, not a chance.' At that moment a girl who looked the same age as Titania walked towards them. Her hair was brown with a natural copper tint to it, like the other girls, it reached the top of her bum.
