And Fletch, you're a Shaman, someone who can speak to the dead, so you get necromancy, apart from the other four elemental magics. You can control animals too.
Josh "Kronos... This guy could most likely control time... If that's the case, then he has a heck-load of power in his hands..." I exclaimed. A screech rang, breaking the silence of the night. "What was that?" Epic asked, eyes widening in terror, fire igniting around his clenched fists, a red aura glowing around him. A purple and misty aura ignited around Fletcher. A dark green aura exploded around Otto. "Stay behind, Jodie... Keep Qin safe." I shouted, turning my head round. No reply, and it was too dark to see. "Jodie? Jodie?!" Still no reply. I started to where I thought Jodiiee would be. There was nothing but darkness. Then a small ray of light caught my eye. "Sunrise..." I muttered, remembering what Fletcher and Otto had said, "Their favourite time for attacking..." And as if on cue, a monster swooped down, flying straight for Fletcher. "Horntail!" Otto shouted. "We can take care of them. Go look for Jodie and Qin." Fletcher ordered. I nodded and made of into the now fading darkness, backtracking to where we came from. I took one last glance back, and saw the Horntail swoop down and knock Epic off his feet. I quickly turned and ran to look for Jodiiee and Qin. The last sound I heard was a loud scream of agony, and the sounds of two beasts. I ran as fast as I could. The sun was going to rise. I had to find the girls before sunrise. If I didn't, the would be in deep shit. I ran and ran, in no particular direction. It was all dark now, this far deep in the city. I cursed under my breath. Why hadn't I ensured Jodiiee was safe? Qin too? I was feeling terrified. What if I was too late? What if... What if Jodiiee didnt make it out alive? If that happened, I would never forgive myself. I started feeling hopeless, terrified. I could hear a screech. The Horntails were getting closer... Then I tripped on a rock, but got up before I stumbled and hit the ground. and when I looked up, I saw some streetlights on. There was a chance... Yes... Jodiiee and Qin! I ran forward and slowly but surely, got closer to that spot illuminated by a few streetlights. As I exited the darkness and into the circle of light, I saw Jodiiee there, Qin next to her, and two other people behind them. As soon as I saw Jodiiee, I slowed into a jog, and then into a walk. A smile broke out on my face. I was relieved. Jodiiee warily walked towards me, probably only a silhouette for her from her position. "Josh?" I went up to her and hugged her tightly and gratefully. "I was so worried... I finally found you. Fletch and -" I started, only to be interrupted by a loud screech, nearer than before. Then two Horntails emerged out of nowhere, talons sharp, headed into us. The same gold aura exploded around me, and I raised my arm, clenched my fist mid-air, and a flash of light exploded. The Horntails were disoriented. I conjured a long sword. I slashed the face of the first Horntail, an finished its off by stabbing the sword into its chest, only the guard and the hilt revealed, the whole blade in its body. I made foe the second Horntail, and raised my sword. In mid-slash, a bolt of lightning struck the monster, and it disintegrated into nothing more than a pile of dust. "And so we meet again, Josh" Alarm bells rang in my head. This familiar voice... I spin round abruptly. "Naomi...?" I exclaimed in disbelief.
Jodiiee "Josh!" Naomi yelped in excitement. Josh embraced her in a hug. I couldn't help but smile. "I thought I'd lost you" cried Josh, still hugging Naomi. "Me too!" she cried. I looked down at Qin, a little tear strolling down her cheek. I knew what she must of been thinking, wishing that was her brother instead. I squeezed her hand, letting her know that we would find him. As Josh was catching up with Naomi, Apoc was the first one to catch a glimpse of the horntail. It was just hovering in the sky, like it was watching us, like it was getting ready to attack. "Uh.. Guys.." said Apoc slowly. Josh and Naomi continued on chatting with each other. "Guys...." Apoc said again. Nobody answered. "GUYS!?" he yelled. I walked over to where he was standing and looked up. I could see the horntail. "Oh..my, god.." I whispered. Qin saw the horntail and let out an almighty scream. This eventually took Josh and Naomi out of their talks, and awakened them to reality. It was too late. Qin had let go of my hand and decided to make a mad dash to one of the houses opposite the road. "NO QIN!" I yelled. I tried to run after her but Apoc grabbed my arm, trying to stop me. I managed to break free and run after Qin. She had stopped dead in her tracks. Fear had overwhelmed her. "Qin!" I cried, running behind her. I grabbed hold of her hand and looked above me. The horntail was hovering right above us. Everyone had gone silent. I knew, and I think the others knew that this was it. Mine and Qin's time was up. We both stared up at the horntail, shaking. It was staring at us making this terrifying screeching noise. It was so deafening. "It's calling for more!" yelled Apoc. As soon as he had said that, two more horntails appeared, a group of them all arranging in a straight line, side by side. "Where's Fletch and Otto?" thought Josh. "I need them now.. The three horntails made one last screeching noise and started to come closer. "Close your eyes Qin" I whispered to her. I looked up at the horntail that was in the center of the other two. "NO!" screamed Josh, as the horntails were getting closer. I stared at it for what seemed like a few minutes, fear stunning me. It looked at me through evil beady eyes, a tounge flicking out every now and then. We continued looking at each other for a few more seconds until the middle one let out an ever louder screeching noise. The pack started to move closer. I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, so I shut them tightly and braced myself for what was going to happen next. "NO!" said Josh again, his voice fading from the sound of the horntails hovering above us. He sounded helpless. After what seemed like ages, I opened my eyes slowly. In the background I could hear Josh's voice shouting "Run!" I looked up, and I saw the third horntails flying straight past my head, nearly knocking me over. They were heading straight to Josh, Naomi and Apoc. We were stunned. What do we do? I was still shaking in fear, watching my friends run around like hamsters in their ball. It was Qin who shook my arm, making me snap out of my daydream. "Josh said we gotta run.." she said innocently. "Run where though?" I thought. Josh answered my thoughts in seconds. "Find Fletch and Otto!" he yelled. I nodded, obediently. I picked up Qin, and ran to find Otto and Fletch. I never looked back.
