Jodiiee We ran for ages. Down streets, along motorways, anywhere that was dry. "We're not dying like this.." I kept on thinking. "Guys! Cars!" yelled Josh. "We've found cars!" We waited for Otto and Sophie to catch up, and we broke into the car shop. I had a huge sense of deja vu. Last time I went to a car shop was when it was just me, Josh and Jerry. We weren't in any rush to choose a car, so we picked the most luxurious, expensive car there. Now? Now I'm with a large group of people, running for our lives and picking the nearest car that we could find. "Are we all getting in cars together?" asked Dan. "No. It's best if all have a car between two people. That way if a car gets damaged we have backup cars.." replied Josh. "Good idea!" agreed Dan. I got in a car with Josh. Dan with Qin. Sophie with Joe. Epic with Naomi, and Otto had a car, in hope for when we find Fletch. "Drive!" we all screamed. We hit the road, this time, with cars. Finally. Josh was driving our car, going way past the speed limit. I looked out my rearview mirror and saw another 4 cars behind me. Although we were in a bad situation, we had more chance of living now that we had a faster form of transportation. That's what I thought, anyway. I wound down my window and looked at the floor. The water was there, keeping up with the cars pace. Josh recognized me staring at the floor. "Is the water still there?" he asked. I just nodded silently. I wound the window back up, and rested my head on the headrest. "Do you think it'll rise?" I asked. "Yeah.. I think this is just the beginning.." admitted Josh. I let out a small sigh. This could only happen to us. Why couldn't things just be simple? I closed my eyes and pretended that everything was okay, that I was just with my family, sitting down having a lovely roast dinner. I woke up 3 hours later. "Hey sleepyhead" grinned Josh. "Hey" I said, slowly waking up. "Where are we?" "I don't know" laughed Josh. I stayed silent and looked behind me. Everyone was still driving spaciously behind us. I could see everyone. Whilst talking to Josh I felt something wet soaking my shoes, seeping through my socks. I glanced down at the floor and noticed water leaking in through the passengers door. "Crap.." I muttered. Josh looked over and followed my gaze. "No! Not now.." he groaned. "We don't have long.." He turned back to focus on the road. I turned around to check if everyone behind us was okay. I could see Qin starting to freak out, and Dan trying to calm her down. I could see Otto slamming his fist on the wheel. I could see Joe and Sophie panicking, I could see Naomi looked scared and worried, epic also trying to comfort her. I turned back and looked at Josh. My eyes started prickling. Was this it? Were we gonna die? So many questions I wanted to ask, but I couldn't.. Josh was trying to gain more speed, but the water was slowing us down. I knew we were loosing control, but Josh was trying his best to keep the car on track. "Come onnnnnn.." he mumbled, slamming his feet constantly on the pedals. I turned away to look outside, a tear falling down my cheek. I didn't know what to do, and I didn't know what to say. "We're not dying.." said Josh, grabbing my hand. I quickly wiped my eyes, and turned around to face him. "I know. We can do this." I smiled. "We can. A stupid piece of water isn't going to kill us, we're better than this. This water is just making our journey, a whole lot smoother." he grinned. I knew he was just saying these things to make himself feel good, so I just played along. As we were driving I turned my head back to face the window, still holding onto Josh's hands. That's when I spotted something in the distance. It looked like a tail, a metal tail. "Josh.. Look." I said, tugging him lightly. He squinted his eyes to get a closer look at what was in the distance. "I see it, but what is it?" he questioned. I heard the sound of everyone beeping behind us. I quickly turned around to see what was happening, everyone must have seen the metal tail too because they were all going crazy and pointing. I looked over at Qin and she pointed up at the sky. It couldn't be. I turned around and squinted my eyes even harder. That's when I realised what it was. "Ha, it's an airplane!" I yelled. "It's an airport!" I turned around to the others and gave them a thumbs up. "YES!" yelled Josh. Next stop? The airport.. * Hi guys. I don't know where Josh is.. He's probably busy.
