  1. O.M.G! Love love love it!

    Bumpy BUMP BUMP!

  2. Ghost wasn't surprised.

Ever since Hope had died, the tension grew even more between Faith and Alan. They began to disagree over pretty much everything, and never saw eye to eye, even about the smallest matters.

Faith blamed Hope's death on her father, seeing how his sternness and inability to sympathize with anybody drove her away. She resented him for it, but she also kept her feelings to herself, which led to her emotional outbursts.
Those always got her in trouble.

Ghost burst out of the facility, frantically looking around. He wished another tragedy like Hope wouldn't occur. Adrenaline pulsing through his veins, he searched around the immediate areas, making his way towards the forest.

Worriedly running a hand through his (somehow naturally) snowy-blonde hair, he advanced down the path quietly, trying not to be noticed. Ghost caught sight of a few leaves and branches strewn across the dirt, that looked out of place. He noticed more of them haphazardly trailing towards the clearing, and he warily followed.

Faith was leaning on the tree, her forehead pressed against the bark. She clenched her teeth, attempting to hold back the sobs that wracked her body, and stabbed her knife into the bark. Right where her initials were.

    "Faith!"

She looked up at Ghost, finding the strength to smile bitterly, her hand still clenched around the knife handle. He approached her carefully, eyeing her grip on the weapon.

"I'm not going to hurt you." she muttered, un-jamming the knife from the bark.

Ghost looked at her incredulously, seeing she stabbed the knife almost handle deep into the trunk. Faith hoisted her bag higher on her shoulder, and shot Ghost a look.

    "Well? Here I am."
"Where are you going…?" he asked, and she sighed, glancing away.
    "I'm going to the tower."
"What?! Faith, that's crazy! You'll get killed!"
"So? I'm ready to accept death if I don't make it there. I have nothing to lose."
"What about your morals? Your own self control?"

"What if what the Inc. says is true?" she snapped, silencing Ghost immediately.

They both knew that it was on the edge of everyone's minds; that the Inc. wasn't so bad, they weren't tyrannical, and they only gave people what they wanted. Ghost was even beginning to have doubts about his own beliefs, feeling the tower have some sort of pull on him.

Faith turned to the tower, exhaling sharply as she began to walk.
"I'm going there. I'm tired of not being happy, Ghost"-

He acted on impulse, taking her hand in his own. This stopped her in her tracks, and all was quiet.
"Please, Faith… I don't want you to leave, or get hurt, o-or"-

"Ghost." she slightly turned around, looking at him intently. "I'm going to leave."

Faith was stubborn. And Ghost knew that. If he dragged her back to the facility, she'd just keep running away. Or eventually, she'd do something drastic.

Ghost's arm went limp, and he dropped his hand to his side. Faith nodded once, before starting down another path that headed to the tower. Not long after, she disappeared into the tangled mess of trees.

Ghost swallowed back his sorrow, realizing he made a grave mistake.

    He let her go.

  11. Faith trudged on into the forest, following the artificial path The Inc. manufactured there. It was an easy walk, almost pleasant, actually. The Inc. set the path there to lure people in, and it worked. People who happened to wander by would come across a perfectly made path, and be inclined to travel down it.

She took out her guitar, lightly strumming it to calm herself. Faith was nervous; she had no idea what went on in the tower. She hoped it wasn't something horrible, though, and attempted to keep her hopes up.

Besides, she was positive she'd never return to the facility, despite how much Ghost pleaded. Faith felt a pang of guilt in her stomach at the thought, and she cringed inwardly. Ghost was her best friend, he only wanted to keep her safe.

Shaking her head, she continued down the path, playing even louder on her guitar. The music helped drown out her thoughts. Faith simply did not want to think right now. That might make her turn back.

Suddenly, the tower's walls came into view. Faith's upsetting mood lifted, and she felt a sense of ease fall over her. Walking a bit faster, she made her way over to the door, and raised her hand to knock. But before her knuckle made contact with the metal, the door slid open, revealing a large guard dressed in a suit. He'd be intimidating if he weren't smiling.

    "Welcome!"
    "Ah… hello…" she muttered.
"Please, hand any personal belongings to me." he held his hand out for the guitar, and she took a step back.
    "N-no! Can't I keep this?"

He didn't wait for her to respond, and took the guitar away with brute strength. Faith felt tears spring to her eyes, and she desperately pleaded with the guard. Nothing she said could make him change his mind.

"Please! It's the only thing that makes me happy!"

The guard froze, and looked at Faith bewilderedly, his smile fading instantly. He took her hand, leading her into the tower.
    "Come with me."
She had no choice but to follow him, since he was much stronger than her.
Faith, glanced back, and saw the automatic door glide closed. She couldn't see outside anymore.

    And that frightened her.
