My college did a thing like that. For the guys, they would completely shave their heads. A few of my friends became bald, so they could donate hair.

• It was the first time I ever cut my hair so short, and braids were what I missed the most. I'm finally getting enough length back for a nice braid! But at just over 2ft, my hair was longer than my arms could reach, lol. I started having trouble styling it.
