Sam attacked with Erebus. The Creature that was created by animus in the Epics attacked back. They collided with great force, both straining to keep their balance. Since each used darkness, it was all a matter of who was more powerful. Erebus's three heads tore at this Creature... It was still at a disadvantage. Erebus took a huge bite out of the Creature. He fired a short burst into the opening he made milliseconds before it closed again... One of the Epics screamed. The left arm lay by the Creature's side limply... The left leg's control was barely retained by the other Epic... Sam could see the tears slide down the red haired boy's face. His expression was burning with rage. Sam felt regret, but he could only retain little control over Erebus when He was at full strength. He wondered, all of a sudden, if he was going soft. He quickly shook the thought, and focused on the battle... That was a good thing too, for the Creature was charging again... Ninz smiled cruelly as the zombies surrounded Sophie. The vampire hung back in case she broke through the zombie horde. Sophie slashes and hacked at the zombies. They were way too slow. But they were numerous, which was a problem. She already had deep gashes all over her, and if she did come out of the attack, there was still the vampire and Ninz herself. She hacked some more. Last zombie left. Sophie charged. The zombie dived to the side, faster than expected. Sophie spun around. Too late, for the zombie had already sank its teeth into her shoulder. She used that to her advantage, and sliced the zombie's head off. Then she came after the vampire. The vampire came at her. Punched her in her shoulder wound, and as she sank to the ground hissing, he sank his knife into her heart. The vampire then disappeared, for Ninz was already drained of all power... She had in fact used too much before the battle started, protecting the treasure rooms in case the good guys won. Sophie was still breathing a little. She winced as Otto ran over and pulled out the knife. He then tried to heal Sophie, but it was too grave a wound. He then had an idea. He reached into Sophie's bag, and grabbed the one piece of candy that could save her. He shoved it in her mouth, and watched. Nothing happened. Then the wounds started completely repairing themselves. Sophie, who was almost near death, sat up rather harshly, and hissed. " Why Otto? This was meant for you. It doesn't matter if I die..." "it does matter. I've lost enough, I don't want to lose anything or anyone anymore. Especially not you. You see, I... Love you." [fletch, as you can see, I have decided that Sophie will be HER in this story just now decided on it. ]
