Our Kind of Relationship

I felt awkward. I looked down at out hands in which our fingers were interlocked.

"Stupid... If someone sees..."

"No one's going to see," he said and he held my hand a bit tighter. "Don't be so nervous," he laughed. "It's alright, nothing bad is going to happen."

"That's what you say now... Until someone sees," I said.

"Stop with that already. No one's going to see."

"But what if someone does Adam? Then what? You might be sent to jail... I don't... I don't want that. I don't want to sound harsh... But I need you. I need you supporting us. Don't take it the wrong way..."

"I understand. I will protect you. If someone sees... We can make up a story."

"I'll just say that I was making a move on you."

He blushed slightly. "Y-yeah..." he said and he quickly let go of my hand. He pretended to look for something in his pocket, though it was obvious that I had just embarrassed him.

"Win..." I whispered.

As we got to the school I quickly went ahead so that no one would think we had been walking to school together.

"Arianna!"

I turned around to see Alex. "Oh. Good morning!"

"Good morning! How are you?" he asked. He looked around, probably looking out for Adam.

"I'm good, thank you," I said. "And you?"

"Me? I'm good too," he said and he smiled, blushing slightly.

"That's good," I said and I smiled back. I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I still needed to tell him... But how could I? I couldn't say it. "I'm sorry, I have to go," I said and I quickly turned to leave.

"Did your boyfriend tell you not to talk to me?"

I stopped and turned around. "What?"

"Your boyfriend. Mr.Klein. Adam Klein," he said. He seemed rather angry but he looked at the ground and kicked some dirt.

"Mr.Klein...? What? I'm not."

"Don't play stupid! I know you're in some kind of relationship with that guy!"

"I'm not! He's my teacher! Why would you think something like that! You... you're terrible!" I shouted and I quickly ran away.

He noticed. He found out... What was I going to do?! What if he told someone?! Then what?!
