Chapter 11: The next week went by in a blur. I would dream, and dream and dream. And in every dream I's be in the hospital, and some horrible thing would happen to me. I was sick of the plain white wall and the stupid attendant who kept killing me by mistake. I would rather die in a fire than this. But I suffered through it and I think came out stronger than I was before. Without all the horrible dreams I had, I might have taken it all badly. I first noticed when the dreams ended and reality woke me up. The walls were a less vivid white, and the attendant didn't smile as fakely as before. And finally, because there was a grey ball of fur purring on my lap. "Claws!" I croaked, sitting up. I knew that was a bad idea as soon as all the ribs in my chest gave out and I smashed back into the soft bed. I remember excited chittering over the phone because of my startling awakening. The last thing I heard before sinking back into the comforting blackness of unconsciousness, was; "He's going to make it." I woke up abruptly, but this time I had the sense to stay lying down. There was the smell of cooking in the air. I didn't know that the hospital cooked so close to me. Then I started to realize with shock that I had not dreamed! I think this was a good sign, but hey, I'm no medical student! Suddenly my breath wad taken away. That's when I understood why I could smell cooking. I wasn't in the hospital anymore. **Sorry guys, there will be one more chapter!**
Chapter 12: "Good morning Olive" I soft voice rang out. A shudder went though me. Where was I? I had never been this terrified to open my eyes. I've always had Claws on me in the past. A smooth hand stroked my cheek and my eyes shot open like a bullet from a gun. A woman was standing over me. Not a hospital attendant, but a regular human being. "Oliver, I know this is very confusing for you. Do you want me to explain everything to you? I was to shocked to reply. Yes, no! I don't have a clue what I want! "Mhmm." I managed to croak, and luckily she managed to understand. The seemingly impossible task of communication had never felt harder. "As you may remember..." She began. "You were hit by a pair of drunks late at night. You broke all of your ribs, and your left arm." I was starting to remember. But I was safe, and Claws was... CLAWS! I jerked up and saw him sleeping on the edge of the green bed I was in. A bed. Why was I in a bed— Then I realized with a pain in my heart why I wasn't at home. The police had found out... about me. The woman continued, and confirmed my worries. Tears welled up in my eyes. As I slipped back into unconscious I felt like a whole Eco-system complete with the works was growing inside the oceans of my eyes. It saddened me to know that however small it was, home would never be my home again. And it saddened me that I was weak enough to cry about it. **Still more to come**
