Opinions about 'Terrorisms' and 'Jihad'?

Lot of ignorance being expressed here. The goal of terrorism is for political objectives. They use fear and random violence to destroy the morale of a nation. Governments can terrorize (as someome pretty much said) as well as groups of people. And FYI, terrorist attacks have occurred well before the modern day jihadist ones we love to talk about so much. Think WW2 and how whole German cities were terror bombed.

If a random person from the middle east blows themselves up in a building killing a bunch of Americans for no reason you'll automatically say it's a terrorist attack will you not

 

Just like the nut jobs that cause the shootings in schools and such, he ^ too would be killing himself also. But oh wait, he's not american so you cant say that it was a 'tragic shooting' instead it was a 'terror attack'

 

We're the biggest terrorists in the world. We could get anywhere around the world within minutes.

 

In all honesty, yes that's definitely what most people will think. "Oh, he's a terrorist." But in the manner that's just people commenting based on pre-conceived stereotypes. They don't have any facts; They're just jumping to conclusion. So it is fair to say not every mass killing or destruction is a terrorist attack even if the person enacting it is Middle Eastern. It is also fair to say that all mass killings/destruction has the potential to be a terrorist attack. It simply depends on the motive behind it. Therefore any group of people can be a terrorist even if the most familiar description of terrorist is now the strange middle eastern man with a bomb strapped to his chest. So we really need to stop jumping to conclusions and blowing shit out of proportion without looking at motives first.

Does bombing towns while in the middle of an actual war count as terrorism?  And it wasn't just German towns that were bombed. Plenty of England and Scotland were flattened too. It was a horrible and nasty war with lots of innocent people killed

 

These are the kind of topics that one must not discuss about.

I agree. The USA basically shoves down your throat that anyone from the middle east is a terrorist.
