Since when did having Muslim friends mean you respect their entire culture? Ironically, I think the reverse ideology works better. "I don't like Islamic beliefs or principles, but it doesn't mean I don't like individuals in that particular religion". Anyway, not arguing, just stating and calling out things as I see them. Calling it a fairy tale amuses me to no end. It both highlights the ignorance in your current belief system (Even if you don't acknowledge an entity up above, you still have beliefs; in the scientific principles shown, or if you don't believe anything, in the nothingness.) When was the last time you conducted personal experiments on a Theory of Everything? Are things in scientific journals more accurate than the Bible? What about the amount of scientific principles disproven every year? I'm not a theist by any stretch of the imagination, but ignorant atheists are even worse than creationists (Obvious satire is satirical)
Trying not to start an argument but that's exactly what you are doing. and so what. To me that's exactly what it is, is a fairy tale. Doesn't make me ignorant by no means. I see everything a different way than others do
I'd prefer you to be Athiest above all else, I dislike most faiths based off their background. We all have our belief systems, as long as you find peace with it you're good .
Atheist* I'm dyslexic there is no need to be a dick op. Go pm.you gf and plaster forums with more of your pointless convos.
Everything is a fairy tale and most of stuff u can't even answer like why are u living right now and what is the purpose? So people tend to Believe in god and higher power. No one knows if it's true.. But it might help some people.
Sam hush he said spell it right, an advisement James its not finals in a writing class no need to bait ppl into debates if thata what youre after
You just stated you respect all religions yet, you're dissing and pretty much pissing all over someone's view and beliefs in regards to their religion. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate if someone decided to disrespect views/beliefs you hold close to your heart. Don't state that you respect something when you clearly don't. Don't personally care whether you respect it or not but don't contradict yourself.
He said 'at least spell it right' not 'atheist is the correct spelling'. There for he was not advising but instead being a cock
I'm an atheist too. A lot of people tend to feel threatened by it. But numbers of religious people are dropping all over the western world. Soon being an atheist will become the norm.
You probably don't want to be judged for your belief Wallace, we all respected you and you dared to insult our beliefs. That's not cool man. I am a Catholic and I believe in god. No, I don't believe 100% of it but I still believe in god because if you believe in nothing, then what's the point of living? Born>Education>Work>pay the governement>die. ^ that's a pretty poopy life, havine a belief in something makes it better, like respecting the others, being nice=heaven/Nirvana/etc. It's your choice to believe in nothinf and we respect that but atleast respect our belief, you don't have to like then or believe them, we ask you to respect them.
I wouldn't call the bible a fairy tale. It's more a series of stories that, at the time it was written, was intended to teach people the proper way to behave. Obviously, nowadays it's very outdated, but for the most part the ideas are the same. Love the people around you, even if they try to hurt you. Do not seek revenge, or hold grudges, turn the other cheek. If someone you are close to commits murder, adultery, etc hate the sin, not the sinner. I am by no means a Christian in philosophy. If I am hurt, I despise the person and everyone around them. I hold grudges, and if someone does something I don't approve of, I cut them off.
And the point is? To disbelieve in a higher power u still recognize that there is one. Anyway it's funny how ppl say stuff on pimd to stir up controversy or just to get attention.
Yep, like I told you earlier in PM.. People make choices which have outcomes and those decisions are what create an individual's path in life. Praying to an unseen God doesn't have miraculous outcomes.. Things are what they are, sometimes things are unfortunately unavoidable or can be fixed with actions. There is no one hiding around a corner with a magic wand to fix things if you ask nicely. NOW, to clear this up: I am not bashing anyone's religions or beliefs.. I'm merely stating my opinions on the matter.. I don't get huffy over people believing in God, so hopefully no one gets offending by my statement.
Whats funnier is how people feel its their need to react and take their turn stirring up the spoon in the pot of controversy
We don't have to see that god looks like to pray for him. And Mrs. Atleast tell me who is god. Because I sure do.
