Lmao it's based off of none! I just remember how children were sent away from their homes in England during WWII. That's what happened to my grandmére and my grandpêre.
They had finally arrived at an enormous black gate. Evangeline looked out the window and her eyes widened. "M-Matthew! Look!" she said as she tugged at her brothers shirt. "Hmm... what is it?" he asked. "Just look! It's the mansion! It's huge! I can't believe we'll be staying at such a big place!" Matthew looked out the window and he looked surprised. "My goodness... it is really huge." She smiled at her brother. "This is gonna be really fun!" He smiled back at her and he put a hand on her cheek. "Now don't go running around the house and causing disturbances to the workers, okay?" "Okay!" When they arrived at the house the man in the drivers seat got out and opened the door for them. They both got out and gaped at the large mansion. "Please follow me," said Angela. "The young master wishes to see you." Evangeline and Matthew exchanged looks. The young master? They followed Angela through the house and up many flights of stairs. They came to a large door that reached very high up. Angela knocked on the door. "Sir I have brought the children." "Come in." They all walked in. Evangeline caught notice of a tall and lean man. He had dark hair and light eyes. He had a handsome face and he was quite young... early twenties...? "Matthew Woodsen, age sixteen and Evangeline Woodsen, age fourteen... am I right?" The brother and sister nodded. "Yes, I am Matthew and this is my sister Evangeline." The man raised an eyebrow as if he didn't care. "Hmm... well you are under my protection now. Do not give me any grief. As of today I am master of this house, James Nemian Coquille II."
Evangeline stood in the office still gripping her older brother's shirt. She hid her face from the older man named James Coquille. "It's okay Evangeline," whispered Matthew to her. "I doubt he's gonna hurt us." "Did you say something?" asked James. "No sir. Just comforting my younger sister... she's just not used to being so far from home and in a strangers home so... please understand." The older man raised an eyebrow. "Sure. I understand. But she will need to get over that quickly," he said gazing towards the young girl. Evangeline quickly looked away from him and hugged her brother. "Evangeline!" hissed Matthew. "He just said you need to get over this!" he whispered. "But Matthew..." she whispered back. "No!" he said and he took her hand. "Please excuse us... it's been a long day and my sister and I need some rest. Which room will be staying in?" "I will take you along with Angela," said James and he gestured towards Angela. The girl nodded and took Evangeline and Matthew's things. "This way please," she said. They followed. After going down countless hallways they came to a large door. Angela opened it up revealing a very beautiful and princess-like room. "This is where we will be staying then?" asked Matthew. "It is where she will be staying. You will be staying in the room beside. What? Did you expect to be sleeping in the same room as your sister? That's highly inappropriate for someone your age," said James coldly. Evangeline's face saddened. "No!" she spoke out. James turned to her. "What?" "I-I want Matthew to stay in my room... it's much to big and I'll be scared!" "You are fourteen are you not? Learn to get along in life with out your older brother." "Don't talk to her that way!" snapped Matthew. "Don't disrespect your superiors! It was good of my father to let children like you into this house!" he snapped back. His eyes falling back to Evangeline for an instant before sighing and quickly turning away. "Get some rest. You have to be up and early for breakfast tomorrow." With that, the older man turned and left the siblings to their own...
