Why are setting it equal to x^2 ?

 

The answer is in imaginary number . 

You're setting it equal to zero because the zeros are the x intercepts.

 

The way you are doing it . Cuz there's no square root of 1 so it will be plus and minus sqrt of 1

 



 

Zeros are 1 ,-2 , 3

So it's (x minus 1) and (x plus 2 ) and (x minus 3)

 

The square root of 1 is 1. Cuz 1*1 is one. So plus or minus yeah but it's one.

 

(x minus one) more parenthesis whaa?

 

U have get rid of the power so u square the number . 

Oh. No. I'm saying 3x^2=1. You divide by three then square root it.

OMFG SINCE WHEN DID THIS BECOME A MATH THREAD!? 

 

If the coefficient is 3 then the coefficient goes in front of the variable. Then you set that equal to the zero and solve.
