  1. I smell an a cup

  2. Wednesday also asked the question off this thread, it wasn’t just here to derail.

  3. Questions to nudists, how did you initially over come or decide to become a nudist? Obviously in the privacy of your own home it's different, but exposing yourself publicly i personally would find very challenging.

  4. I've never had casserole :( it just sounds gross. i am an extremely picky eater

  5. Obviously wasn't the intention.

It took up 3-4 of this thread's 8 pages. I don't mind taking up one to shut it down.

  7. You are obsessed

  8. This is going to be long, but I hope it helps 

I wouldn’t say I identify as one, as I don’t feel the need to push for complete nudity in other places, but I’ve been to many naturist areas around my state or when I travel, along with my fiancé.

The whole “journey” for me started a couple of years ago, when I made friends with some people at the Uni I now attend. Many of the spaces are very welcoming to all sorts of experiences and people, it’s pretty amazing. My close friend Pete had been going to a naturist swimming hole for quite some time and he would tell us stories and how it really brought him out of his shell. He knew that I’ve struggled with body image quite a lot and invited my fiancé and I to go with him one weekend. I honestly hated the idea at first and a lot of “this is weird/these people are probably still judgemental/etc.” type of thoughts were going on.

Let me just tell you.. The community and people within it are beyond wonderful and accepting. There is no judgement, only love and care for one another.

The way naturists work is so different from what many people think. There are so many assumptions about “oh they just do this to get off/see other people naked” or “they just want to try to spot attractive people nude”, and that is so far from the truth. Yes, there are some people who are there for that, but they never stay for long. There’s always going to be bad eggs or imposters in communities, but once that comes out in a naturist area, they are GONE. It is never tolerated in these areas.

When it comes down to it, naturism is simply a much more intimate and free way of living. I don’t believe nudity is necessary or should happen in many places, but I do believe that places like beaches, swimming holes, and other very natural areas become so much more enjoyable when there is no judgement nor restrictions (meaning physical clothing or even mental restrictions of “do I look good? is this bathing suit fitting right? i hope my shirt looks okay.” etc.).

I have found that partaking in naturism is such a freeing act. Personally, when I’m with my groups in these areas, I rarely find myself thinking about my own body, and I never find myself judging how I nor others look. Getting away from that automatic judgement we have when we see others and having first impressions being truly about who the person is and not their appearance is a beautiful thing. It’s a wonderful, peaceful, and completely worry free experience every time we go to a naturist spot.

I understand it’s not something for everyone, and that some people will always look down on it, but the truth of the matter is still that our bodies are natural and experiencing each other’s presence completely isn’t wrong.

  9. I started my journey by going outside everyday with less clothing as I did the day before 

  10. Started with spring break and ends when it snows

  11. I can see it helping people get out of their shells and becoming more comfortable in their own skin.

Perhaps nudism is the counter to make up?

  13. Now, I'm not into nudism sense I'm to fluffy. Just is a bad sight to see...anyway one of my friends irl is a hard core nudist. He says he absolutely loves being naked and is like he feels "one with nature & that we shouldn't be ashamed. Before Eve took a bite of the apple we were gonna be naked in the first place" or that it's healthier. Which I mean sleeping naked is and Same with gotta let the tattas free. He's put me through a lot of lectures that if you wanna know it all OP, might as well follow cause I know way more then I probably should lol.
