~Chapter 4~ Jeremi's POV No. I can't go back. I'm not suited to be a king. I'll just hurt the people... Wait. Who is that? Isn't that the girl from the market? Why is a man flirting with her? No. I don't care. He's going to pay. "You-" I punched the guy square in the face, causing him to have a nosebleed. The girl immediately ran to hide behind me,tears welling up in her eyes. The guy ran away, embarrassed and I comforted the girl. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded shyly. "Celeste! Come and help Mr. Fairway unload the rice sacks!" A girl with long blonde hair yelled out to Celeste. As she left, I sighed. So her name was Celeste...
~Chapter 5~ Jeremi's POV "You thief!" A jeweller bellowed. "I never stole anything!" A honest-looking man retorted. "Then how do you explain the diamond going missing right when you walked past?!" The jeweller hollered furiously. "He didn't take anything." I interrupted. The jeweller gave me the evil eye and growled,"How do you know?" "Because... Because I took it!" I lied through my teeth. Believing me, the jeweller shouted,"Arrest him! He stole the diamond!" Two burly men grabbed me by my arms and dragged me away. I didn't struggle. What was the point? I was the one who stepped in foolishly... "Let him go!" Celeste yelled at the tattooed men. "I saw him take it!" She pointed at the jeweller. "He's simply pushing the blame!" "H..How do you know?!" The jeweller glanced towards the right for a fraction of a second before glaring straight into Celeste's eyes. "Because you looked to the right simply too many times." She smiled, knowing the game was up. "If you look right, it means you're thinking of the future. It means you're lying." Dumbstruck, the jeweller hesitated, giving the men enough time to let go of me forcefully and grab the jeweller. I was pushed into a grey brick wall. My right arm hit against it and a piece of shrapnel embedded in the wall gashed me. Blood began to ooze out of the long wound. "Are you alright?" Celeste asked me worriedly, looking at me with sincere eyes. I nodded, but Celeste helped me up. "Follow me. My house's nearby..." She led me into a decent house, where she bandaged up my arm. "You're the runaway prince, right?" Celeste smiled gently. "H..How did you know?!" I exclaimed before covering my mouth with my other hand. I had accidentally let the cat out of the bag... "It's really you?! The stuck up, egotistical prince?!" Celeste stood up in shock and anger. "I can't believe I ever helped you!" She grabbed my injured hand and pushed me out of her house. "Celeste!" I ignored the searing pain in my arm and rushed to the closed door, banging on it with both my fists. "I'm not like that!" I slid down against the door in despair, whispering,"It's not me..."
