Whatever ATA does for next month, I agree with this. And like Minx said, the community became toxic. Heck, I haven't been to Pride irl in years because it's full of people with those genders/identities/sexualities made up on sites like Tumblr. Which led to lots of unnecessary aggression between us, where we should have peace. We somehow ended up being a "cool kids club", which straight people can join just because they call themselves one of the 9001+ genders and pretend they're gay. And there's a more gruesome part that I won't be getting into. But in the end, it's up to ATA. Is it gonna be a hunt? Just gifts? Avis? Furni? Nothing? We're gonna see. I for one would be happy just with cute gifts (whether they give stats or not).
It's getting to the point where cisgender, straight people are like "I'm LGBTQIAPP+ because I have kinks!!!" No one cares about the historical context of the LGBT political coalition and the fact that the community doesn't exist just for fun parades, drag queens, and gay bars. -_-
YEP. Speaking of historical context.. I've yet to learn a lot about it, so I think I'll dedicate June to learning more (through documentaries and older, written publications).
Yeah. All this is true. It's up to Ata. And I would be happy if we got gifts or avis. And of course young people make up things on tumbler. And the community has become toxic. But that's because everyone hates on us. Or all the "new groups" gets upset because they aren't accepted. And if you want to be a unicorn, be one. If you want to be water, just be water. But some groups is made because of wrong reasons. And that makes tension and discussion all around. That's all I have to say for now
