I graduated high school at 17 and at the age of 27 went back to school...in England (I'm American). It was terrifying at first but I really quickly fell back into school habits especially as I was very interested in my subjects (health and social care, lots of classes on communication, research, and physical/emotional/intellectual/social development). My first essay was 28 pages because I got sucked into developmental research incorporating the nature vs nurture debate. I think since you already have experience in the wine industry, and clearly an interest, it won't feel so much like class you have to attend, but a meeting discussing something you love with like minded individuals. Good luck and kick butt!
I had taken like 6 months to get back into college after I got out of high school, but at the time I didn't see any difference except the fact that homework was online instead of paper etc That's rly it. You might just have to deal with something smol like that
The last thing I recall before leaving/dropping out of college was definitely being under a lot of stress especially working nearly (45-48) hours a week. It’s definitely something I’ve learned to handle a lot better now but college is basically all about a state of mind and to keep a so call “fire” or will to move forward in your benefit. Of course distractions come a long with it. I mean it is a place where generally all types of people can come into your life. I do plan to go back in the Spring of next year with a few courses in mind but it’s definitely something I’d recommend someone to not clutter themselves so heavily with especially if they’re occupied with work or even taking care of family/having a family. Best of luck to you though, hopefully the night classes don’t put you to sleep.
