Yesterday I was thinking that ATA created a monster with the mod crates and everyone trying to do something “good”. Today I think thread after thread of suck ups is way better than threads where people are ..... struggling for the word here ..... nastily willing to insult the fingers of a girl just trying to contribute and feel happy. And her fingers are perfectly normal.

A 48 hour Christmas ban on random, hurtful, totally unnecessary insults would be nice.

They're not a huge part of black culture at all. You don't see straight black males getting long fake nails. The only part of black culture that does this many black females and gay black males. In fact, women from other races and gay males from other races get fake nails as well. It's 110% not a part of black culture. To claim that it is a part of black culture is disrespectful to black culture.

 

There's nothing wrong with her fingers though.

 

So because black men don’t get them it’s not black culture? Wigs, sew ins, fake eyelashes. All integrated into black culture and (mostly) not used by men.
Also it can be an a important part of black culture even if other races get them.
Like boxer braids and slang. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

Black culture means exclusively the black males AND women. Example, rap originates from black culture. Nails have been done by every race. White people introduced wigs first and every race does fake lashes. Every race has it's own slang, in fact, we don't even call how we talk slang where I'm from boxer braids is a part of our culture though... but until I see a drug dealer with fake lashes and fake nails who's also married show off his nails... then like I said, don't dump that sh it on us.
