Depends really. Satan was banished for heaven because he wanted to be god. He tricked eve into eating the forbidden fruit there for Satan was the reason behind the fall of man kind. Satan punishes sinners, in itself is rather silly since surely Satan would praise sinners for following his path. But that being said, if god is real and as like the bible says. It is all knowing there for knew when making Lucifer that he would fall and knew that he would be the reason humans would be born into sin evt ect way before even creating. So in that way god is evil and we are all just game prices but then again perhaps there is logic behind the madness. Intelligence so advanced that we simply can't understand
I for one identify as agnostic (not a believer, but I don't outright say that God is fake. It's more based on factual information and the notion that a person cannot prove/disprove whether God exists or not). However my parents are Catholic and Christian. From their perspective, they believe Satan and Hell is for people who have truely sinned and they have done nothing else to offset this sin. This does not apply to God because he has done very much to offset this. Although there was a flood, it was a way to start over because God saw the people as becoming wicked and there was a need to cleanse the earth of all the wickedness. Also, as for the killing his own son. That could be seen as sacrifice in order to get to a greater destination (the sacrifice was for the greater good) so that's why it might not be seen as bad/evil. Also, not coming at this as an agnostic, athiest, or Catholic, but as a person: many people do find inner peace from God which I think is great, especially for those who need it. How they look at God and Satan is up to them.

I'm not an atheist. But i know that the vast majority of Christians don't have half of the necessary knowledge of Christianity to be good Christians in the modern world.
Are you talking about Catholicism? Thats where you made a mistake Catholics and Protestants believe in Christ but Protestants do not believe in the Catholic way of worshipping...
What I find more annoying than extremist religious people are group of atheists- who find stupid anyone who disagrees with their opinion/beliefs. And tbh Christianity is the last religion that deserves to be criticised?
