So I’ve been in and out of the app for 6 years. I have the 13-year badge, but from 2018 to 2024, I was completely inactive. I was a little salty when they updated Party Plunder. Back then, you wanted to stay at full health while hitting a party because the more health you had, the better your payout per hit. 😂 (For the gerber babies.) But this new “Dorm Tower” update is different. This is the first thing since Pug Hunt (which I failed) that has gotten me excited about the game again. That’s why the delays have been so disappointing. The date has been pushed back so far, while other players have already received the update. I understand that rolling out a major feature can be complicated, but if it’s going to take this long, why announce dates before everything is figured out? Seeing the update help, hearing different dates, and then seeing multiple pushbacks makes the whole thing feel a little unorganized. And if you’re going to roll it out gradually, please try not to make long-term/veteran players wait months after other players have already received it. I haven’t been following all of this super closely, but the more I’ve heard and the more threads I’ve read, the more I’ve noticed a pattern of delays and older players being overlooked. Maybe the assumption is, “They’ve been here for years, they’ll be fine.” But some of us are returning players. I’ve already missed six years of updates, so I’m already playing catch-up. Now there’s finally a major update that has me excited again, and I’m having to fall even further behind while waiting for access. Okay, I’m done crying now. 😂
I’m not the oldest, biggest, or most paying player, but hearing about new accounts, old accounts, small accounts, and large accounts all receiving the updates in different orders has me salty. It’s almost like the more money you’ve spent in that account, the later the update. But that’s my theory. The “new/early-mid/late player” thing doesn’t really seem to follow any other rules otherwise. My one alt that I’ve spent $0 one was the only account to receive the update so far.
