I awoke when the sun rays were blinding my eyes. At first, i thought i was in my room but then realized that there wasnt a flowery scent before. I jolted up and regretted a second after. My head felt fuzzy and really heavy. i feel like i was having a hangover. My eyes scanned the surroundings. It was so familiar.Flower scented candles,Baby pink wall and colourful petals on the floor. It was June's room. Speaking of the devil, here she comes now,carrying a tray full of eggs and bacon. "Hey there SleepyHead!" She grinned. My head wasnt functioning yet and i just looked at her, like she's gone mad. "How did i get here?" I asked. " My cousin found you unconcious somewhere while he was hiking. It was a really bad rain storm and if he didnt found you sooner, you could have been frozen to death." She explained. It took a while to let it sink in. I felt awful and i so did not want to say anything else right now. "What about my parents? they must be so worried!" "Dont worry, I called them and told them you were staying over for the night." "I dont know what to say. I'm extremely sorry June. I've been ignoring you all this time and you were still here for me, after everything i did to you" I apologized. " Its okay Kate, I knew you wanted to be alone and how much he meant to you. Its hard,i know. You have nothing to feel sorry about...you'll always stay my friend" She said and hugged me. I hugged her back and smiled. Then we heard someone coughed. We broke apart and looked at the door. A tall guy was leaning against the door frame,grinning. He had sandy blonde hair, ocean blue eyes and the cutest dimples you can ever imagined. He strangely reminds me of Ethan but they dont look the same except for his eyes and dimples. Ethan had a longer chin and was a few inches shorter than him "Okay June, you should let her eat breakfast and get some rest. Her ankle is injured remember?" He said,grinning wider at me. "Hey there Kate" He added and winked. June flushed and tore away from me. "Sorry Katie. By the way, Kate, this is Blake. My cousin." I couldnt move. I smiled back at him looking really stupid with my hair all tangled up and my shirt revealing. I nodded at her, a signal that showed her i understood. She walked out the door with Bake and i began eating. My stomach was full and i felt sleepy. I rested my head on the pillow and drifted to sleep in a few seconds. By dinner, i was already awake. I was itching to get out of bed. June was out buying groceries. I shifted my leg to a comfortable position and clung on to her bedside table. I pushed myself up and tried to find my balance. For a second, i stood but my grip started sliping when i tried hanging on to her curtains. They started to shake as i pulled myself across but unfortunately they snapped and sent me falling to the floor. I shrieked and landed on my butt. The curtains covered me and blocked my view. I heard the door slam open and the cloth was removed from my head. Blake helped me untangle from the curtains and held me up. He was grinning and actually found this funny. "Stop laughing! its not funny, its embarassing!" I said, flushed. "If you wanted to walk, you should have called for someone" He told, trying not to laugh. "June is out, how can i call her? Besides my phone got lost somewhere" "Theres always me. You should have called me to help you" My cheeks blushed redder. I was so embarassed. How stupid can i be? He was enjoying this and couldnt get that goofy grin off his face. "Well you were downstairs and i didnt want to disturb June's parents." "June's parents arent here now, they're at your place having dinner" Could i get anymore pathetic? I didnt argue and tried to limp myself to the bed. He grabbed my arm to help me balance but i was too embarassed to look at his face. I pulled my arm free and limped towards the bed. But half way, I felt a twinge on my ankle and instantly sat down,shrieking. He was at my side in a flash. Without saying anything, he carried me, bridalstyle and let me down on the bed. I had my back on the pillow and he just sat there,studying me. "What?" I asked, uncomfortable with the silence. He started to lean forward and stopped when his face was inches away from mine. His ocean blue eyes stared at mine,like they were trying to touch my soul. "Dont try to avoid me,Kate. Whenever you need me, Im always here. Just call my name and i'll come running for you." He whispered. I was stunned.My heart raced and my mind went blank. He was too close and somehow it felt strange and yet nice at the same time. I clutched the sheet,unable to move. His breath tickled my skin and his lips seemed irresistable. I had an urge to kiss him right there. He seemed to understand and leaned nearer. I didnt know what i was doing but i wanted to kiss him. But before i got the chance to do so, June barged in. "Hey guys!" She said, unaware of the situation. He parted away quickly and smiled. I seemed breathless eventhough we didnt do anything. She kept glancing at both of us and looked confused. Blake stood up and walked to the door. " See ya later,Kate" he said before stroding away. June locked the door and immediately asked for details. I told her and she seemed surprised but i saw a hint of guilt as well. "Do you like him?" She asked. I thought long and hard before answering but the only thing that came out from my mouth was...
