The second I let out a sob, he was already by my side. He was about to touch me but I furiously backed away. "No! Don't touch me...I told you! It's not going to end well. Why won't you listen to me?!" "I love you Kate! I always have! I'm not leaving you!" "Then I'm going to leave you! Whether you like it or not!" I screamed and dashed outside. I heard the door open and he came out,trying to stop me but I refused. My tears were furiously running down my cheeks. He embraced me, it was the only thing that he could do to stop me. "LET ME GO!" I pushed him as hard as I could and he staggered back. "I HATE YOU ETHAN! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" The last shout I gave him,absolutely destroyed my heart. My chest felt heavy and I ran to the bus stop. This time, he didn't chase after me. It started to rain and I got soaked. I didn't care. I continued to cry. I boarded the bus and leaned on the window. I was the only one on it. This bus was the only bus that runs 24 hours. On the last stop, I got down and began walking towards the public bathroom. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I got shocked. My eyes were puffy and red. The mascara was ruined and my hair was soaking wet. I looked horrible. My phone rang and it was from Ethan. I didn't want to answer but ended up answering anyways. "Kate? Where are you?" I went silent. "Please, tell me where you are. I called your home but your parents said you weren't there so I'm trying to find you." I just stared at the phone. "I'm worried about you! Tell me where you are!" I sighed "I'm at the downtown's public bathroom" "Okay...Stay there. I'm going to pick you up" He hung up and I cleaned myself. I washed away my make up and tried blow drying my hair with the dryer for hands. After I looked decent enough, I went out and sit on the bench. In a few minutes, Ethan found me and I sat in his car. I didn't want to talk so I kept silent. We arrived at my place. I muttered a thanks but he held my wrist. "Kate... I-I don't want to lose you..." I looked at him. My eyes were dry, I couldn't let out anymore tears. I pressed my lips against his. The sensation surged through me but only for a second. I part away and looked in his eyes,apologetic. "I'm sorry Ethan...There's no way for us to get back together anymore. I'm sorry for saying those awful things to you but I've made up my mind. Goodbye Ethan..." Without looking back, I ran inside the house and went straight in my room. I wanted to cry again but tears wont come out. After a few hours of dizziness and pain, I finally drifted to sleep but ended up dreaming about Ethan. When will I be truly happy again?
