  5. Meg's POV

I shot up and looked around. I looked up at the guy before me. It was Wesley. [\i] The guy from the diner and the one from the files. He was standing right in front of me.

"Where am I?" I asked. As soon as I spoke, my head started to swim and my vision went dark. I groaned and felt like I was going to throw up. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Easy there." I lay back down on the couch. I closed me eyes and took a deep breath. I finally opened my eyes and saw Wesley looking deeply concerned.

"How did I get here?" I asked. He sighed and started to explain.

"Truthfully, I'm not sure what happened. I heard an explosion and saw police cars coming. You were on the ground unconscious. So I ran over to help. I saw that you lived on this floor yesterday." I thought over his words carefully.

    "But why?" He didn't answer.

  8. Wow. Okay. I've been gone for a while, but I still love this story. :)

  9. I stared into her eyes for second, and looked over her. Her expression told me she had an attraction to me, but her body language told me she was also scared of me. I was wondering why, but I realized I just basically abducted her.

"Okay, to be honest, I've noticed you are a detective. I also noticed you have trying to find someone--me I should say." I said, intertwining my hands to show hospitality.

"So you knew this whole time?" She asked a bit angrily, clenching her small fists.

"My skills are why you were assigned to this, no?" I asked calmly. She calmed down a bit. She unclenched her fists, and relaxed.

She didn't reply, but instead got up and gave me a head gesture to suggest confusion, and got up and walked out. She slammed behind her, and I shot up, and ran out of my apartment and ran towards the elevator.

I quickly got in, and rode it down. She would come back to apprehend me for questioning. No way was I about to get involved with police. When the elevator doors opened, I started casually walking down the street.
