Medieval Role-Play!

-Reality leaves me and the mist becomes a Forrest. I no longer feel my hand on Rose's. I see a man with a bloody sword standing over her. She lays motionless. I fall to my knees a stricken look on my face. Tears stream down my cheeks-

"I've failed.... I couldn't protect her..."

 

-the man grins-

"So you've made it to my little fun house. Your lucky. Most don't get past the wolves."

-I glare and fire an arrow. It disintegrates in mid air.-

"Ah ah ah."

-he laughs maniacally.-

"Blades only my prey."

-I charge at him my daggers drawn-

 

-the man shoves me aside and laughs-

"Such anger. You should have seen how she bled out when she died!"

-He laughs with glee-

"She wouldn't shut up about you. She kept saying how her prince would come rescue her. Well now it seems that she had put her faith in the wrong person."

-I fall to my knees crying-

 

"I do know how much you loved her so I took the liberty of taking her wedding ring off."

-he looks at it on his finger and grins evilly-

"I think it looks quite good on me. I believe I'll keep it as a trophy."

-I stand up anger surging through me. I turn to him my hair golden and my eyes glowing. A golden aura surround me. My voice is dangerous and booming-

"How dare you!"

 

-he claps and laughs happily-

"Oh goody I've invoked your god form. It's been a long time since I've killed a god. You do remember your father don't you? Soloron? He was such fun to watch die. The look on his face was priceless as he realized he wasn't invincible!"

-I yell angrily-

"I won't have you insulting my family!!!!"

-He laughs-

"I wasn't insulting them dear boy. I was just speaking the truth."

-I glare-

"You'll regret messing with My family and me!"

-I lunge forward-

 

-he easily parries with his sword and laughs-

"Your as weak as your father and even more pitiful than Rose!"

-I glare and yell-

"My father was a great man and my Rose is far from pitiful!"

-I swing at his throat and he knocks my blades away-

"Oh looks like your unarmed! Are you gonna go run to your momma now? Oh that's right I killed her to!"

-he laughs with glee-

"Well now what are you going to do? You can't possibly defeat me without a weapon. You have no one to help you. It looks like you have finally been beaten."

-He shakes his head and clicks his tongue-

"So sad. Don't worry I won't kill you yet. I want you to dodge my swings. I want to see the hope drain from your face. After all your hope is gone I'll give you a merciful death."

-he laughs and starts swinging. I begin dodging. Everytime I try and grab my daggers he blocks my way-

 

-he laughs watching me dodge and stops-

"Why prolong the inevitable? Just give up already. You can't win."

-I realize something.-

"I won't give up hope. I know that's why so many others have failed this. They've given up too quickly."

-he grins-

"Oh really?"

-I nod and take quickly take an arrow from my quiver. I lunge piercing it through his heart. He claps again but this time it's not evil. It's congratulatory. He smiles-

"Salrion Grayson. You are the first to pass my test. You didn't give up hope even when you lost everything and the odds were clearly against you. You kept strong and was crafty. You've passed my test."

-I awake in the hallway in cold sweat-

 

-I hear Rose and get up picking her up in my arms-

"Rose!"

-tears stream down my face-

 

-I hold her tight-

"That test seemed so real..."

 

-I look into her eyes-

"I thought I lost you too."
