••••••Adrián's point of view!•••••••••• When I woke up Mallory had taken a shower, made my bed, and I was guessing she was making breakfast because I smelled bacon cooking. I went down stairs and saw her standing over the stove flipping pancakes and frying bacon. "Morning sis." I could still sense the worry and confusion in her. Her aura had gotten better, it was back to its gold. But it wasn't as bright as usual. It had sparks of black coming off of it also. "I was wondering when you were going to get up, it's 11:15 you know. But I made breakfast. Mom went to her friends to go shopping and dad is at work." She winced when she said 'dad'. She put a stack of pancakes, some bacon and eggs on a plate and handed it to me. "Thanks." I told her just as one of the kitchen maids came in. "Ms. Brynn, Mr. Brynn, is there anything I can do for you this morning?" Hally said, gesturing to the pans Mallory used to cook. "Yes can you wash these pans? Thank you so much, Hally. I appreciate it." Mallory gave Hally a genuine smile, then she went upstairs. Hally began washing the dishes and I ate. Mallory was an exceptionally good cook. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the bacon wasn't to crispy, and it wasn't raw. Exactly how I like it. I finished eating, put my dishes in the sink, and went upstairs to talk to Mallory. "Mal, it's going to be okay. We'll talk to mom and dad about it when they get home. It's all going to work out." I tried to reassure her, but her thoughts were dark. "No. He's your dad, Adrián. Not mine. I'm going out." She left her room, grabbed the keys to her red Ascari A10. We all had many cars, but that was her favorite. Maybe because of the butterfly doors, or maybe it was that it could reach 215mph. We didn't know. I looked into her thoughts, I saw the world through her eyes. I didn't like doing this because it was an invasion on her privacy, and she hardly ever read my thoughts. She didn't like to block out auras like I did, so I saw colors surrounding everyone. Some darker, lighter, or brighter than others. I read her thoughts and knew where she was going: The pier. We had passed it on the way to school, I didn't remember where it was but she was always better with directions than I. She pulled into the sand with, causing the sand to fly in all directions, got out of her car and slammed the door down. I saw something silver glimmer in her back pocket. A quick memory scan gave me my answer. It was a knife. And I also read what she was planning to do with it. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Sorry, it's long. And I don't think it's that good... But oh well. I like it.
