---------------------------- Laverne shrieked, “What do you think you are doing? Get off of me! You said you won’t hurt me!” “That’s true, little angel, but I did say I would get back what belongs to me!” He slid the flat blade across her cheek, and trailed it down her, leaving a thin streak of redness on her neck. “You know what babe, no man ever dared spare a look at my girl. Your pretty boy has got to pay a price,” he sneered meanly, “And the price shall be YOU.” The blade continued its path down her blouse, snapping buttons on its way. Laverne struggled futilely, and tears streamed unheeded, down her face. He gripped her face roughly, and leaned in close. Laverne tried not to gag at the odor of his breath, as he rained kisses all over her. “Get off her.” A masculine voice called out. The man halted, and looked towards the shadow at the door. Within seconds, the shadow leapt in and threw the man off Laverne. He dropped his coat and wrapped around Laverne, picking her up gently in his arms. “Boss, no, that sick boy Greg stole my girl! I was just paying him back!” “Oh come on, you have so many girls.” A girl sauntered in, and peered in on Laverne, “Hi there, I am Andi. That’s our big brother, Zach, holding you.” Andi continued, “I see your taste hasn’t changed much, still attracted to sluts that run to nerdy guys after hanging out with you for a while? Duh, what’s in you that’s charming anyway?” “That’s enough Andi,” Zach said, quietly. He lowered Laverne on to her feet, “Can you stand by yourself?” Laverne nodded. Zach frowned, and brushed away the tears on her cheek, growling slightly when she backed away from him. “Well, a price does have to be paid,” Zach started. ----------------------------
---------------------------- Zach picked up a wooden stick from the floor, patting down on his palm. Walking over to Greg, Zach lifted his chin up with the stick. He examined Greg closely, and smirked, “Not much of a looker after the hits! So, spill. What’s the story?” Greg turned away and spat on the floor, close to Zach. “Look, I don’t care what you do to me, but leave Laverne alone!” “Laverne?” Zach turned and looked at her, “That’s the right name for the angel. Look, we didn’t hurt her, not as much as you did anyway. She’s mine now. That’s the price.” Laverne walked over and looked into the eyes of Greg, “Tell me. Why? Was she prettier? Was she better? Did she love you as much as I did?” Her voice dropped to a whisper, and her lips trembled, “I loved you Greg, I loved you.” Strong arms hugged around her, catching her before she fell to the floor, as darkness engulfed her. ----------------------------
