^^ this!! I love having this outlook! We’re far more conditioned by society to immediately judge by looks than we think. What we do isn’t normal. Yes, species as far as /mating/ goes often base on appearance or talent, but that doesn’t mean we just know to look at someone and immediately evaluate them if we were still more of a ‘wild’ species. Sadly, appearance and what society sees as a “10” is ingrained within all of our surroundings and many of us. It’s not as hard as people think to learn otherwise. Teaching yourself to view people for who they are and not what they look like by a societal standard is such a refreshing thing. No one is “ugly”. That word itself is silly and shouldn’t be used for physical things. Look at people for who they are and not what society labels their appearance as. ??♀️
i use to think i was fúcking hideous all the time. i use to not wanna leave my house without spending an hour just on my face. i use to shave off half (most) my eyebrows since i went to cosmetology school a few years ago and wanted to experiment, plus my 4 piercings in my face and my "big puffer fish lips" as my family likes to call them, i look like a goth hairless cat, but my boyfriend tells me that's when im most beautiful, even though he rarely sees me barefaced. i use to think he said it because he had to, but lately ive realized, we're so much more critical of ourselves than other people are. still ugly tho.
Only people with ugly personalities think that looks are more important, because it's easier to change how you look than who you are. They are too busy being jealous of others, obsessed with where on a scale they fall.
Personality>looks any day.... But yes, people are more apt to want to get to know someone based on their looks.
You're not ugly, bro. If I was a pimp, you'd make me a lot of money. Men would pay good to feel your DSLs and I'd be rich. So next time you feel ugly, just think, "if Jacob was a pimp, he'd make big bank off of me."
She was wearing a brown shirt I think. I'm not good with links. You'd have to ask Anonymous or Muschi. They're the best with that type of stuff.
Newborn babies look at attractive faces for longer, on average, than unattractive faces. Babies discriminate based on attractiveness. It is not due to social conditioning: stop saying that everything you don't like is a social construct. It's usually false and annoying.
