Chapter 3 Weeks of nothing had gone by. Just listening to boring classes, Jonesy, Jared, and other idiots in my school. I just ignored the idiots and took notes as usual. Finally, second quarter was done and we soon had a reward trip for all the kids who didn't have three or more detentions. Luckily, it was in October. "So, Lenea, are you going?" I asked in science about a week before the trip. "You know I am," she replied. "Nicky?" I asked. "Yep," she replied. "I am so excited, and lucky. My mom normally won't let me go on any trips." "I know, you told me." Her mom was strict, like my father. But my dad wasn't as strict as Nicky's mom. Everyone was excited for the next week. Everyone was talking, and having fun before it had truly begun. Finally, it came after what seemed like endless torture. Everyone in seventh and eighth grade walked into the room talking loudly and eager to leave the terrible school. The teacher, Mr. Burmam took role and his wife, another teacher at the school, counted heads. "Alright, let's go!" he said. Everyone rushed to get to the buses. It was about an hours drive and everyone was yelling just to talk to their neighbors. I was talking to Penelope and listening to music with her the whole time. Finally we arrived at the YMCA. Everyone was allowed to go inside one by one. It was a long process but it was worth it. We had the choice to swim, play basketball, or play some games outside of the gym. I decided to play air hockey with some of my guy friends. I played Caleb, Austin Back, Caleb's brother, Jacob, Colton, and a bunch of other friends of mine. I beat each of them. I seemed lucky that day, I guess. Then I tried pool, not so lucky at that. I hadn't played in a while and I made an epic fail. In losing. Against a idiot friend. I was so ashamed.
Chapter 4 After an hour of so at the YMCA, we went to go get lunch. We went to get lunch at McDonald's. I was picky when it came to McDonald's; last time I had eaten there, it was filthy. So it depends on where I'm eating and if it is clean it not. It was clean and decent enough. So I ordered and sat down to eat with my friends. We were talking and have laughs like any normal lunch. But there was one thing that made it wrong. "No way!" Jonesy came up and said in his girly voice. "Oh, God," I said, putting my head in my hands. Everyone else was laughing at his voice. Except me, naturally. "How is that funny?" I asked when he left. "It just is," replied May. "Yeah, it is," Nicky said. I shook my head. I couldn't believe my friends. Sure, we weren't popular, and we weren't nobodies, thanks to me. We were just people. I went back to eating and talking to my friends. Finally, Mr. Burman called for everyone to hurry up and finish eating so we could leave for Incredible Pizza, a place where kids spend their parents money and scream and cry when their parents aren't giving them money anymore. That is the long version. The short version: it's a rip-off. But, it is fun. So we're there for about two hours. We played games, spent money, and had fun. My friends and I went on a 3D ride there that cost $2.50 per couple. That is $1.25 per person. You could by a five dollar movie that had 3D and watch it in 3D as many time as you wanted; that was worth the five bucks. This, such a rip-off. That ride even gave me a massive headache. As we headed home, I tried to block out all the noise and such to calm my headache. Sadly, I failed. Jared, Jonesy, Katie M., Kaydie P., and a lot of other people were singing extremely loud. I swear, I wanted to die! I was talking to Lucy the rest of the way home, hoping to calm down and for the ride to be over really soon. Finally, it ended and I was back at school. We stayed outside for the last ten to fifteen minutes. I had fun talking and playing with my friends until the bell rang. I ran home excited to tell about my day and to go take an Advil at home.
I have to help prepare the graduation for the seniors these next three days so I won't have time to write. Sorry, I'll try in free time, which will be rare, to write. ~ShanaAlana
Extremely short, but I've been busy! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 5 There was only a few weeks until Halloween. I loved Halloween. It was one of my favorite holidays! That year I was dressing up as my favorite pharaoh, Cleopatra or my favorite Egyptian goddess, Isis, goddess of magic, the kite (the bird kite, not the toy kite), etc. "Lenea, what you goin as?" I asked Lenea one day in History. "A sexy pirate," she replied. "A sexy pirate? Seriously?" I asked laughing. "Yeah," she replied. "Well, I'm going to be Cleopatra or Isis," I smiled. "Cleopatra and who?" she asked, obviously confused. "Oh, never mind," I said. I put my head in my hands. I was a mythology freak, so I knew about tons of gods from past times like Greece, Egypt, and Rome. "No way!" I heard. It was obviously Jonesy. "Jonesy, please go away," I said without taking my head from my hands. "Why? Are you okay?" he asked. He seemed like he really cared. "I'm fine, thanks though, but please, just go away." "Alright," I heard and he seemed to go away. The next two weeks everyone was extremely excited, talking about what they were going to be for Halloween. Then Halloween finally came and everyone was even more excited. I was officially Cleopatra. And there weren't many trick-or-treaters considering I lived in apartments for elderly and disabled people. During that time, I was watching Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis. Finally Lenea, Rose, and Paula came by. Lenea and Rose were divas and Paula was a witch. The next day everyone was talking about how good their costumes looked, how much candy they got, and who they pranked. Yep, Halloween is fun, but it's even better when you watch scary movies.
