My jaw dropped. "Mum you cannot be serious?! What about me and Lucas?!" Mum looked at me her eyes full of sorrys, "Gabbie, you and Lucas are going to an orphanage." My eyes welled up with tears, "Please tell me this a joke Mum!" She shook her head, tears slipping from her eyes, she walked out of the room. I hugged Lucas close, "Don't worry Lucas. We have eachother. I'll always be there for you." Lucas only cried louder hugging me tightly the thing he said broke my heart, "Gabbie why does Mummy and Daddy hate us?" My eyes widened I hugged him closely, "C'mon I'll take you to school." I picked him up grabbing both of our bags, picking up my keys to the house and left, walking with Lucas to school.
We walked down past the shops and through the old graveyard to get to his school. I occasionally looked at him, the poor kid was still in tears. As I dropped him off at his school I quickly explained to his teacher what was going on, hugged him goodbye and left. Now I was on my own, I was free to cry, I had to be strong around Lucas, I couldn't cry though. My mascara would run and then Ellie would have questions. I sighed, strolled through the school gates to be greeted by Ellie with a hug. All day I couldn't focus on school at all, the thing Mum had said was burnt into my brain. "Your going to an Orphanage." It kept repeating over and over in my head. I was extremely thankful when the schoolbell rang for the end of the day. I picked up my bad and threw it over my shoulder, then raced out of school to pick Lucas up. Only to recieve a phonecall from his school, "Hello? This is Lucas' school, is this Gabriella?" "Y-Yes why?" "Lucas has ran away from school." All it took was that one sentance and I was darting here and there looking for Lucas, repeatedly yelling his name.
