The point isn't really hitting at the last bar, as someone mentioned above it's the amount of drops given that's an issue. The only reason most people if not all go for last bar hits is because they can get the same amount of drops from hitting that last bar 10-15x in :30 minutes or less as people who helped get to that last bar in the first place. I'm not against last bar hits, but if PIMD really wants to make it fair, then they need to adjust those drops according to effort-it shouldn't be randomized.
If pimd put the top tier stat item in the shop for a limited time it would make it fair. That way people can LBH for the top 200 place and a free stat item as much as they want but the option to buy it after the event has finished would leave no one at a disadvantage when the same people are making it into the top 200 again & again. Pimd would also make more money so it's a win win.
But then again....clubs can lock the doors if they don't think the amount dropped is fair. It all goes around in circles...People want to finish parties, they ask for LBHs, LBHs come, they complete the party, everyone gets same drops, they complain but they don't want to lock doors because they need the help. (I just want to say again...this isn't the case for everyone. Some people could care less about getting the same drops.) I still think less hunts = less people trying to LBH for top 200 or any other prize/award.
I think ATA is making enough money as it is with the hypnocats and pizza bikinis. The drop rates are incredibly low
If people have read back, a lot of us have said that lazy members shouldn't be rewarded either. Hence making rewards proportional to the amount of effort (ie hits) would be fairer
I have read none of this, but I think if you do 10 hits, you get 10 drops. If you hit the party 100 times, then you get 100 of the item. So, lbh can't obtain much. Or, have it so you need to be in the party for at least 3 bars to get a drop.
@casper...They did that with the beta wars, gave the player an amount if drops proportional to their hits. Let me ask you this : How is it fair to the people who are pinned from start to finish during the war? They aren't inactive, just pinned and receive next to nothing in drops. I don't think that's a good idea.
You're not pinned in parties though, so beta wars is a completely different issue; I think an entirely different system would need to be implemented to make drops fair in beta wars. In terms of Lbh which only applies to parties, it is reasonable IMO that drops are proportional to the effort the person has put in energy wise, since each bar has a different % of energy drain (sigh being the least rave being the most). So a certain % of energy drain=a fair amount of drops-and Lbh would need to either wait to regen, slowing down their progress, or use a considerable amount of dn to keep up.
Yeah...lol I realized after i posted I think if PIMD could make that happen, it would be beneficial to many, if not everyone
Put a lock on how many clubs one account can visit within a 24 hr period. If you make it say 5-8 clubs per 24hrs, that's plenty for ppl to help their friends, visit their friends, and still get back to their home club. Plus it allows some LBH to do that a little but not completely take advantage of everyone.
I say its the clubs admins/member/owners choice to lock it or not so just leave it ....there should be an option that pops up to vote to lock the club just like the left for dead vote to kick option then everyone votes
Liyah, I agree it's not really fair to the people who are pinned the whole war or forced into pesting/cowing. I think ata are looking into ways to make it fairer. I do like that they're trying though. As said before, making hits proportional to item drops seems a lot fairer. Addresses lazy club members and lbh issue. If lbh want to dn then great, they're contributing rather than leeching.
Also a good point @ladynova. That wouldn't affect people who like to visit friends as people don't club hop that much per day
The lbh bragging about how they've already completed are doing an excellent job of emphasising out point, thanks
Yeah i know, I appreciate that they're trying to make things fair and change things up to make PIMD more interesting. I like Mrs Nascar's idea about making drops proportionate to the amount of hits. It makes things fair for everyone. I don't like the idea of putting a lock on the amount of clubs you can visit though...not that I care but I don't think it's necessary. @casper bahahahahahahahaha i know right! Gotta love those LBHs! @tweak, no the drops you get in a beta war are proportionate to the amount of hits you made. But anyway, this thread isn't about beta wars back to LBHs.
