Personally, I think people make them so others who can't write (at all) have something to be proud of. That's just my take on it.
I'm a writer myself, but it's been taken by rps, no offense to others who enjoy it...but I miss the stories. And yes, I agree what Angi says, but it's JUST BETTER TO ASK SOMEONE, then to make these sign-ups that won't last long. My opinion, there should be some sort of council of ff to decide that. Maybe a "go to person" when someone needs guidance, like a writing counselor........if it makes any sense. But I love helping people on stories, because I don't have the time to write, so if anyone needs help... I'm here. Sign-ups are not necessary.
If people need help because they have writers block they can always ask me I'm pretty good at unblocking writers
Same here, there is no need for sin up sheet for characters just randomly pull a name out of your head and see where it takes you, charcters usually shape themselves if they are ment to happen, don't go asking others to sign up on character sign ups,
