Idk but maybe maybe we have the weakest infrastructure compared to our allies because our military protects them? I mean if you have the country with the best military protecting you, you probably don't need to invest that much in military and can spend more on infrastructure/other stuff but ye m8 we needa fix infrastructure here.

And according to the United nations human development program, we are tied with Canada for 10th place for human development aka best standard of living. Beating out uk, france, italy, spain, etc. So that's something.
